Recently my aegis legend has been showing a different resistance everytime it gets turned off and sometimes randomly. I started with a .7ohm build and in 24 hours my screen is now telling me that it's a 1.45ohm build. I understand that coil break in will increase the resistance, but I've never had more than a .3 jump. Is this normal, is my Legend not reading properly or any other thoughts?

Now i'm no pro by any means, but i do knowe that this big of a jump is never normal.
What are you using on the Aegis and if you can add pictures that'd be helpful since i have a feeling your "build" might be the culprit here.

What wire did you use? Most will increase resistance as they heat up (measuring that change is how temperature control works), although it shouldn't really go from .7 to 1.45. My best guess is that you have a wonky connection somewhere. Check that the screws holding your coil are tight and haven't crushed the wire. The next spot to check is the 510 connection (where the tank screws into the mod). Make sure it's seated properly - the tank should be screwed in fairly tightly, but not as tight as you can possibly make it. Over-tightening probably causes more problems than undertightening. If that's OK, check the screw in the 510 itself. You can get all sorts of weird resistance readings if it's loose.

I used Kanthal Clapton 26 + 32ga, built on a postless deck. The deck connections look good, the rta I'm using for the first time, but the 510 is tight.
I'm using the Juggerknot mini, first build on it actually, the connections look solid, but I'm going to rebuild today and see what happens

I had a similar issue on another mod and tank. Finally put the tank in the ultrasonic cleaner and a tiny snippet of wire came out. Have no idea where it was hidden in the tank. I didn’t see it even with the tank disassembled for cleaning
@VapourFlavour – large jumps in resistance could be contributed by lose post screws, debris in the deck or even a coil that is gunked up with burnt sugars from juice. Do you have another mod to try that atty on?
I didn't see this asked, but what mode are you using the aegis in? If in TC mode, might the kanthal in that coil be the culprit?
Fingers crossed for you. It was two days of frustration for me before I found the bit of wire. I had washed the tank twice too.
That's a great point, but I'm not using TC, that mode doesn't work well on the Legend so when I use this mod at work I use wattage.
Yes, I put this deck on another mod just now and it's also showing high ohm reading. Now I know it's not the Legend. Thanks! I'm going to clean this deck again and try aa new build.
That's a big resistance jump.
Maybe someone mentioned this, but the bottom center screw in the 510 connector sometimes loosens. Sometimes people back it out to get better contact with the mod. That screw also threads into the positive deck section. If you can tighten it, do so. If it's loose you'll get varying resistance. If it's really loose the two deck sections can touch and cause a direct or intermittent short between the two parts of the coil deck.

If you are running Dual Coils, it almost sounds like one of the Coils Isn't making a good Contact.
So it seems you're right! The postless deck I'm using came with flat head screws that were really difficult to get a screwdriver on and know how tight they were. It looks like one of my legs was overtightened. I just switched the screws out for Allen screws and it's a much better feel, I no longer have to worry about overtightening
The tip-off for your situation was that the Ohms Doubled. And that is Exactly what happens when you Take Out one Coil in a Dual Coil set-up.
I just Hate Slotted Screws on Atomizers. Kinda just Hate Slotted Screws Period.
