I just got in most of my parts so I sure would appreciate a step by step guide. I think I have the basics but any help would be great.

The plated ones are starting to lose their plating from periodic sanding to keep the contact areas clean.

I read on breaktru's forum that these clips didn't hold very tight. He recommended getting the standard filled ones and filling them with solder.

With the inspiration of the great work going on here, I put together a spread sheet for calculating the energy requirement for melting silver based upon the length (mass) of silver wire being tacked. I have the spreadsheet set up for 28g and 30g .999 silver wire.
The formula does not include all the variables that can effect the weld, ie. thermal diffusion, timing etc. However, the results do align with some of the reported successes here on the thread. The calculated target range is between melt temperature and vaporization temperature. The spreadsheet includes a digikey calculator for capacitance discharge/power as well.
Some of the relevant inputs for Kanthal, Nickel and Nichrome are included and you can insert the numbers for those calculations if you like. The spreadsheet was helpful for me to understand how people were achieving their results (good and bad) with different variables and materials.

They have been working excellent for me, only complaint is the plating coming off the radio shack version, but they hold the wire plenty tight. I suspect the ones from digikey will be of higher quality.
The original one was something I had already, but I picked this one up for the tutorial: CU-1874-B Bud Industries | 377-1165-ND | DigiKey it is a tad larger so there will be more room to work on the little bits.
Would you mind giving a full parts list so I can get what i dont have ordered

gsa I was looking at your schematic again and I wanted to ask what is the purpose of the 3.6 ohm resistor?
Can't use these meters with the camera flash.
Capacitor voltage is being drained due to the Low Input Impedance of the Digital Meters.
A 10M or more input impedance is recommended.
The two meters were connected separately for the test. The video show two together.
Meters were from Buy Digital Panel Meter Voltmeter Ammeter Thermometer Clock Voltage Current Temperature Measurement

To limit the output current on the battery. I don't trust the internal protection on the $6 Chinese board so I put it there to set the max output to around 1amp. There is a 2 amp fuse in series with that as another protection. Ask Boeing if they agree with this decision
