Put the 42v together today, one 50v/1000 cap and at 37v it is welding everything I use.

Hey BJ, what's that white blob thing with the terms on each end at the left of the board? Nice battery and LED by the by.

I've decided I'm going to do a rev 2 on my solder box. Have a couple of 2577s now and will have an LED display soon.:D

You might want to elaborate on your setup a little more. When using a camera you will actually want more than one camera, or more than the single capacitor.

Mine is the simple set up soldering leads to the cap on the flash board. Ran the wires to the outside of the camera, soldered clips to the end. I used a Fuji disposable camera....I posted it somewhere in the front of this thread when we first started gathering cameras.....

It seems like what works for someone isn't always the same for another. You might try adding some capacitors...also using good firm clips makes a difference

No there was nothing wrong with it but I would like the adjustment to be easily accessible with a knob from the outside of the box. I was planing to make one that I could use as a little portable variable power supply for other projects that I play with.

I'm not judging your ability, but what size did you replace it with? Stock one is 10kΩ.

I replaced it with a 10kohm linear pot that I had initially purchased for a DNA12 build but had laying around. I had read on here someone said it was 10k and when I pulled mine I measured it just to make sure, and it read out at 10k. I put the original stock one back on the board last nigh but its toast :(

Mine is still in the camera shell. I haven't been able to get any other parts to actually build one yet. Not sure if or when I will have the time. I was really hoping the camera would work for me, as it is the quick easy way....though probably nowhere near as good as any of the others. I don't know much about circuits and diodes and resistors, and really don't know what the purpose of each part is and how to decide what is right. If I don't find the time, I will just buy one that was built by someone with way more knowledge about this kind of stuff than myself....which wouldn't take much.

Can another value resistor be used between the fuse and lm board? Somehow it didnt make it on my last order. What exactly does this resistor do with such a low value?

Hopefully GSA or someone with more knowledge than me will also answer....but I believe it just slows/limits the current being taken out of the battery
