Could you clarify the word definition of the word "trend" for me? I'm thinking maybe I might not understand the definition...
I looked at a couple months, and saw like four. One of which I suggested be locked. One was clearly noted was satisfied in the thread, then there was a bunch of "pile on". Two were not explained.
I had to go through 12 pages @ 40/page to get there though...
I saw a fair number of negatives in that list that remain open. At the time this was posted, the thread right below it was the thread criticizing the new battery air draw.
So yeah, I couldn't let it go or figure out how we had gotten all the way to a trend. And I rankle when things appear that suggest a conspiracy of pattern when I can't identify one and it's otherwise unsupported by the OP.
Please, save your condescending tone, and your rankle, for someone else, Adrenalynn; perhaps someone who's actually being unfairly critical to V4L. I certainly wasn't, and I never suggested any sort of conspiracy was taking place. Since the spirit of my meaning (and perhaps a few of the details) seems to have been lost in your critical analysis of my every word, allow me to state it more clearly:
I don't like to see V4L locking threads, and especially when the subject issue has not yet been resolved. My "trend" comment was due to a recent similar occurance ( and no, I didn't take the time to locate and scrutinize said thread to determine it's
actual level of similarity; it "felt" similar enough at the time). This thread, as well as my comment, were posted before the issue had been resolved. Once the issue
had been resolved (within a matter of minutes), Tenebrae edited her post to reflect it; perhaps that is why my comment may have seemed "unsupported by the OP".
I realize and agree that some threads should be locked, but I don't think that was the case in this instance. It would have been better, I think, had the issue's resolution been posted in the original thread.
I have now given this matter far more attention that it deserved, but it rankles with me to be taken out of context, or to be accused of suggesting conspiracies when no such suggestion was intended. I do hope I have clarified the matter, but, in the final analysis, Adrenalynn, I neither seek, nor require, your approval in the viewpoints I choose to express.
