Completing this survey will not make a blind bit of difference if the government or local authorities decide to legislate against vaping products.

Legislation is all about the money. End of.

This survey, and everything else we're doing, may or may not help.
One thing is certain: being negative absolutely does not help.

Done...the only issued i had with the survey was the flavor questions.
........Many people don't vape flavors for a wide variety of reasons..they don't like them, can't tolerate them or don't feel their safe. I think it's BS that that was conveniently glossed over on purpose given there was no option for checking off that one does not vape flavors and the only option to pick was a flavor one uses... or answers that were geared at the assumption that you use flavors. I call BS.

I too noted the lack of an unflavored option, but I assumed that the survey was designed to address points raised by the deeming regulations and other legislation. Since one of the myths that vaping opponents have popularized is the notion that the purpose of candy and bakery flavors is to entice the innocent little children to start vaping, it seemed reasonable to me that the survey would try to identify whether adults use flavors other than tobacco and menthol.

It's not a perfect question, but I didn't get the impression that unflavored was left out on purpose. I'm always frustrated by surveys that neglect to include my particular option (and I've seen many), but I usually chalk it up to the survey maker's incompetence. Or their lack of imagination. Or my uniqueness.

And you gotta admit, it's pretty rare to find a vaper who never used a flavor; I'm not sure I know anyone who started on unflavored.

The next time I come across a survey that covers all bases, it will be the first time.
And I take lots and lots of surveys.

I believe I have generated about $250 in donations to the Humane Society on SurveyMonkey.
At 50 cents a pop, that's a lot of surveys.

Actually there are quite a few gauging from this forum that vape unflavored for a wide variety of reasons and i just feel like if they were truly trying to represent facts that they would not have conveniently left that out. I know why they left it out and i am sure many others do too...they were purposely tilting the survey in favor of flavors to boost flavor use. I think there is way more people using flavor then not i won't deny that, but let the facts stand as they are without purposely setting the survey up to reflect differently.

When others who are not pro vaping do this kind of stuff vapers are all over it, but when a pro vaper does it all we hear is crickets. I don't like it and because of that i will call them out on it regardless of which side is doing it. It's irritating to me as a vaper and it's complete BS. I think CASAA does a lot of good work, but i don't agree with how they go about doing some things and this is a pure example of tactics that are no different then what we see from anti vaping extremist.

It's really disappointing to see this coming from CASAA, but not surprising or shocking that it happened honestly..after all they are a pro vaping organization with an agenda like any other organization that is anti vaping...ehem!!

Seriously..do they not think that those looking at this survey are not going to notice that they conveniently did not account for those who vape unflavored? the credibility of this survey is now in question when it comes to accurate reflection of flavor use now....and this is exactly why anti vaping surveys and research gets shot down and loses it credibility as well.

You know what's even worse...most people who do not vape flavors will just pick tobacco/menthol flavoring...which is a misrepresentation because they don't like that either and don't want anything that taste like cigs, but given there was no "vape unflavored" option, that is what they will likely pick. Is that really the signal we want to send and gain support for when it comes to what is offered as flavors? ...that many are content with using flavoring that taste like a cig such as tobacco/menthol flavoring when in reality many in that survey that checked that box do not even vape those flavors or any flavoring?

This is what happens when you try to manipulate a survey on purpose to reflect a preferred view due to having an agenda instead of putting all the cards on the table and letting people respond accordingly...it backfires.

While 95% of the time I vape unflavored, in the survey I picked flavors that were the least objectionable to me - Fruit and Candy were my choices.

Thanks for adding that info because it truly concerns me. I don't want to see us stuck with tobacco/menthol only flavors in the end. I vape flavors on occasion as a treat because i do enjoy them on occasion, but beyond that i do not feel they are safe to vape regularly..that is just me. But i do want the options of all flavoring available to me so i can continue to enjoy them on occasion. The more support we see for tobacco/menthol flavoring, which is what has been suggested by the powers that be, then that might be what options we are stuck with. I don't want to see that happen which is why this whole thing upsets me so badly...and it's upsetting that CASAA purposely manipulated this survey as well making our credibility look just as bad as the anti vaping extremist.
