Over the next couple days, I'm going to be reviewing 16 Heather's Heavenly Vapes e-juices that I recently bought.

They were all made on or about April 8, and spent a little over 3 weeks in the international postal system (which is certainly not HHV's fault). I then uncapped them and left them in a drawer for another week, and then steeped them for an additional 2 weeks with the caps on, shaking vigorously every day or two. Whatever else you can say about these juices, they've been well steeped.

All of these liquids are 18 mg nicotine, and all but two are 50/50 PG/VG; the exceptions are the two Tuscan Cocoas, one of which is 80/20 and the other 20/80 (I wanted to see just what kind of a difference the base makes). The flavors are as follows:

  • Tuscan Cocoa 80/20 (Purity)
  • Tuscan Cocoa 20/80 (Purity)
  • Chocolate Orange (Purity)
  • Vanilla Dream
  • Carnival (Caramel Apple)
  • Atomic Grasshopper (Mint Chocolate)
  • Bleeding Heart (Purity) (Strawberries & Cream)
  • Java Smooth
  • Just Peachy (Purity)
  • Mocha Java Smooth
  • Monkey Mango (Purity)
  • Nice Pear (Purity)
  • P'Nut Butter Cookie
  • Bah-In (Purity) (Peach-Pear)
  • Cin City (Cinnamon Roll)
  • Caramel Cappuccino

My scale for the overall scores is as follows:

  1. Yuck. Won't finish the bottle unless it's the only thing I've got.
  2. Vapable, but not particularly good.
  3. Good
  4. Great!
  5. Vapegasm!!

The scale for other things (TH, Flavor, Authenticity, Vapor) is a simple 1-5 scale, with 5 being the best. Finally, I'm vaping these juices on a Vamo 2 at 7.0 watts using EVODS, unless otherwise noted.

HHV P'Nut Butter Cookie
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 2/5

TH: 5/5
Vapor: 4/5
Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 1/5
Color: Dark maple syrup brown
Order again? NO

Let's start out with this juice's good points -- it produces a lot of vapor, and it has as much throat hit as a 24 mg juice, which is pleasantly surprising. The TH is really whopping, in fact, which I love.

The flavor, however, is pretty close to non-existent. It's a very bland, barely detectable sweetness... and nothing more. It has absolutely no peanut, peanut butter or peanut butter cookie taste whatsoever. And I mean none. In a blind vaping test, I would literally not know what this juice is.

So I'm forced to conclude, unfortunately, that this liquid is a failure. In an attempt to get some flavor out of it, I've varied the wattage, giving it a shot at 5, 6, 7 and 8 watts, but it makes no real difference to the taste. I even loaded up a CE5, to contrast with the EVOD, and the only difference is that the CE5 tends to give some burnt hits, probably because it's a top-feeder and this juice is thick and doesn't wick with great aplomb.

That said, it's not unpleasant at all, and it will be at the very top of my apocalypse e-juice box... but that's pretty faint praise.

HHV Chocolate Orange
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 2/5

Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 2/5
TH: 5/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Mid-dark maple syrup brown
Order again? NO

Like HHV's P'Nut Butter Cookie, Chocolate Orange has extraordinary throat hit. I really don't know how they do it -- this juice has less nicotine (18 mg) than what I usually vape (24 mg), and yet provides more TH -- but they do it well. It also produces tons of vapor, though frankly that's not something I really care one way or the other about.

The taste is a barely sweet base with a very weak orange flavor. It's so weak that I can't even begin to try and figure out if it's fruity, candy-like or something else; it's not perfumey, though.

There is no chocolate taste that I can discern.

I'm giving it a 2/5 in authenticity because I can tell it has a bit of orange in it, and a 2/5 in taste because it barely has any. It's not unpleasant, but it's also practically not flavored -- just the slightest drop of sweetener with about as much orange as you'd get if you walked by a bus stop where someone peeled an orange several hours beforehand.

I don't know if this is standard for HHV, and frankly I'm perplexed. Their reputation here is stellar, which is what led me to place this huge order, but so far it almost seems as if they put a 10 ml bottle's worth of flavoring in my 30 ml bottles.

HHV Atomic Grasshopper
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 3/5

Flavor: 3/5
Authenticity: 3/5
TH: 4/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Dark maple syrup brown
Order again? Only if I couldn't get Halo's Shamrock or MBV's Mint Chocolate

HHV clearly produces liquids with killer throat hit and vapor. Atomic Grasshopper (a mint chocolate juice with a great name) is no exception. The TH is a bit weaker than P'Nut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Orange's for some reason, but not too much so. The vapor production is on a par with the others, which is to say very high.

The flavor is a nice, cool, sustained minty coolness on the inhale, which morphs into a weak mint with a slight hint of chocolate once it's in the mouth. The exhale doesn't really taste of much. This juice has barely any sweetness to it at all. All in all the flavors are extremely weak, though pleasant enough.

Halo's Shamrock (another mint chocolate) was probably the first e-juice that blew me away, and I was going for that kind of taste with this order. I didn't find it. Atomic Grasshopper and Shamrock clearly aspire to the same target taste, but while it aims in the right direction, HHV's AG only takes a few steps in that direction, with it's weak, weak flavor.

In an attempt to get some flavor out of this juice, I took the wattage up to 8.5, but no dice -- only the TH is increased. I also tried a mix of 10 drops of HHV AG and 2 drops of sweetener -- this is a bit tastier (and a lot sweeter), but still extremely weak.

And by the way, I've alternated with some MBV, Dekang and Liqua juices, and they all taste just as flavorful as always, so I don't have vaper's tongue.

HHV Tuscan Cocoa
18 mg, 80 PG/20 VG

Overall Rating: 2/5

Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 3/5
TH: 4/5
Vapor: 4/5
Color: Dark orange brown
Order again? NO

Like all the above juices, this one has great vapor. The TH is a tiny bit weaker than with the other liquids I've reviewed so far, but not by too much.

The flavor is an extremely subtle chocolatey one. I'm not sure I'd call it cocoa, but it's definitely not the Hershey's syrup flavor of many similar juices. It's pleasant and smooth and tastes of quality. But yet again, the taste is extremely weak. It's a bit stronger than P'Nut Butter Cookie, but less so than Chocolate Orange or Atomic Grasshopper. I like it, but I have to really pay attention to notice it -- it needs a ton more flavor, which is fast becoming a mantra in these reviews. In fact, if this weren't the case with almost every HHV liquid I've tried (more are still to be reviewed), I'd think they made a mistake when preparing these juices.

HHV Tuscan Cocoa 20/80

Authenticity: 2/5
TH: 3/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Dark maple syrup brown

This is essentially the same as the Tuscan Cocoa 80/20, with a bit less TH and even less flavor, to boot. I can hardly tell it's of the chocolate/cocoa/cacao family of tastes. On the bright side, there's nothing perfumey, plasticky or chemical about it.

Probably ideal for people considering vaping unflavored liquid who are afraid to take the plunge.

HHV Nice Pear
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 2/5

Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 2/5
TH: 5/5
Vapor: 4/5
Color: Light yellow
Order again? NO

At this point, I'm seeing a clear pattern for HHV's juices: Great TH, great vapor, and virtually no flavor. Nice Pear --a pear-flavored liquid, obviously-- is no exception.

HHV Nice Pear is sweeter than any of the other HHV juices I've tried so far, but it's still not as sweet as most of the not-very-sweet juices I've had from other vendors. This is also a constant with HHV so far.

The flavor is some kind of fruitiness, but I simply can't state categorically that it's pear, because the flavor is barely there at all. Whatever fruit it's supposed to be, it tends very slightly to the perfumey side of things, but that's really all I can say.

In short, yet another juice that has nothing to recommend it unless you actually want unflavored.

I think by leaving the caps and drippers off for a whole week, the flavors may have mellowed too much. This is typically done to let any alcohol evaporate and smooth out overpowering flavors. Even then, you only need to do it for a day or two, and its not necessary for every juice. Letting them sit with the caps on is what allows the flavors to meld and mature. Something to consider for next time. Until then, enjoy the throat hit of these ones. Maybe buy some diy flavorings and add a few drops to help them out a bit.

HHV Cin City
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 4/5

Flavor: 3/5
Authenticity: 5/5
TH: 5/5
Vapor: 4/5
Color: Maple syrup
Order again? YES

HHV Cin City is a cinnamon roll-flavored e-liquid. And it's the first HHV liquid I've reviewed that I consider acceptable.

The TH of this 18 mg juice is as good as any 24 mg juice, a constant among HHV's offerings so far. The vapor production is very solid, too.

The flavor is absolutely authentic. On the inhale you get a sort of dusty cinnamon flavor blended perfectly with delicious, just-out-of-the-oven dough taste. In the mouth, the cinnamon predominates, and on the exhale it's back to cinnamon and dough again. Absolutely delicious!

It has a very gentle sweetness that would probably be fine even for those who don't like sweet stuff. It will not, however, satisfy people with a sweet tooth.

The one down side of this juice is that the flavor is weak. It's not as weak as all the other HHV liquids I've reviewed so far, but it's weak nonetheless. This additional flavor really makes all the difference, though -- some of the other juices have so little flavor I can't really tell what they are, but Cin City is instantly identifiable.

This is a juice I'd actually recommend and buy again. Very well done!

[EDIT: I just want to add that Cin City leaves the most delightful cinnamon dust aftertaste on the back of your tongue for a good couple minutes!]

Well, I tried all these juices out when I first got them, and they had absolutely no flavor for the most part. That was after 3 weeks of steeping with the caps ON (in the mail). So clearly they needed some time with the caps off.

And since it's winter here and my house is not centrally heated, it's quite cold all the time (probably around 50º for the most part, and yes, I do mean indoors... we just tough winter out here), which means that things take a long time to evaporate, even alcohols. So I really don't think that's a factor.

I'd also note that I've done the same with all my other juices and have had no ill effects.

HHV Carnival
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 2/5

Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 2/5
TH: 2.5/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Reddish orange
Order again? NO

HHV Carnival is supposed to be a caramel apple flavor. In practice, I think that's sort of what I taste, but I can't really be sure -- yet again, the flavor of this HHV juice is extremely weak. Pleasant enough, certainly not cheap or perfumey or chemical tasting, but also not tasting of much. There seems to be something appley here, but it comes and goes, and is barely detectable in any case. As to the caramel, I can find none.

HHV Carnival has very little TH for some reason, unlike all the other HHV liquids I've tried. It produces massive, billowing clouds of vapor, like nothing I've ever vaped before. It actually makes it hard to read my computer screen unless I exhale upward!

This is yet another in the long line of HHV liquids that I will not buy again. Barely any flavor, and very little TH. Adding additional sweetener brought out a bit more taste, but not much.

HHV Caramel Cappuccino
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 1.5/5

Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 1/5
TH: 2/5
Vapor: 4/5
Color: Maple syrup
Order again? NO

HHV Caramel Cappuccino has a bit more flavor than most of the HHV juices I've tried, but not by much. Unfortunately, a good part of that flavor is a perfumey Cheetos taste, perhaps with a touch of cinnamon dust and a mild sweetness. From what I've read on ECF, most other people call this flavor, common to some coffee-style liquids, "burnt popcorn". Whatever it is, it's not something I want to be vaping. I simply can't detect caramel, cappuccino, coffee or anything similar here.

This juice has a very weak TH, even at 8 watts. It produces more than enough vapor.

HHV Bleeding Heart
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 3/5

Flavor: 2.5/5
Authenticity: 3/5
TH: 4/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Reddish
Order again? NO

With HHV's Bleeding Heart, a strawberry cream liquid, we're back to juices that fight well above their weight when it comes to TH. The vapor production is HHV's typically generous cloud.

The taste is pleasant enough. There's definitely some strawberry here, of the slightly perfumey variety (it works well, though). I don't detect any sort of cream or butter though. It also seems to have a flavor I can't identify, but which I feel like I had at some point in my childhood -- perhaps strawberry Jolly Ranchers.

All in all it's nice enough, but yet again, the flavor is too weak. It is a bit stronger than most of HHV's offerings that I've reviewed, though.

Along with Atomic Grasshopper and Cin City, this is the only HHV juice I've reviewed so far that I expect to vape again, barring a juice apocalypse. I won't be buying again, though.

I would blame your Evods, the Nice Pear having little taste put me on to it. Nice Pear doesn't have much taste if used in tanks or clearos not up to the task, but there's plenty flavor in Nice Pear when used in a RBA dripper or tank.

That's an interesting thought, but I'm not sure that's really what's going on here. I vape MBV's Pear daily in EVODs at the same 7 watts, and I get tons of flavor. In fact, I vape most things in EVODs, which I've really come to love, or CE5s, which I love less but have like 30 replacement coils for. I've also got Vivi Novas and even those wretched eGo-C tanks. I've vaped Nice Pear in the eGo tanks, and they have even less flavor (as does everything in those things).

In any case, clearos seem to be the most common delivery system, and RBAs the least, so I think the EVODs represent a very common use case.

HHV Vanilla Dream
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 3/5

Flavor: 3/5
Authenticity: 3/5
TH: 2/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Middling Brown
Order again? NO

HHV's Vanilla Dream tastes almost exactly like HHV's P'Nut Butter Cookie. They share an identical, slightly sweet base that also shows up in Caramel Cappuccino, Java Smooth and Mocha Java Smooth. On top of that base is a very subtle vanilla taste; it has trouble rising above the base, but it's there.

I find it to be a very nice, pleasant tasting liquid. It's also a bit stronger than most of the HHV juices I've reviewed so far, though not terribly stronger.

The TH on this juice is weak. The vapor is excellent.

All in all, it's a decent vape. I'll vape the rest of the bottle, but I won't be ordering it again.

HHV Java Smooth
18 mg, 50 PG/50 VG

Overall Rating: 2/5

Flavor: 2/5
Authenticity: 2/5
TH: 3/5
Vapor: 5/5
Color: Middling Brown
Order again? NO

HHV's Java Smooth tastes almost exactly like P'Nut Butter Cookie and Vanilla Dream. It lacks Vanilla Dream's very light vanilla note, and adds a bit of that perfumey Cheetos taste I'm so unfond of (Caramel Cappuccino has it too), but otherwise they taste the same. The flavor is quite weak, as seems to be traditional at this point.

I detect absolutely no coffee (the "java" part, presumably) in this liquid. It is smooth, for what that's worth, but so are all the HHV juices I've tried. They've got that part down pat.

The TH is weak on Java Smooth. The vapor is billowy.

This one is going into the apocalypse box.
