Avoiding a particular juice vendor based on some stranger's review could mean missing out on what might become your favorite vendor. All of us have different tastes. All of these reviews are entirely subjective.

Absolutely. HHV has a great variety of juices and to me they range from the great to the crappy. I've tried 15-20 vendors now and outside of AVE, I've received juices I didn't like from all of them.

The thing is that you might strike gold with a vendor and I think I've done that with HHV. I like their Blueberry Muffin, Tuscan Cocoa, the Dew and Double D Watermelon is terrific IMO. I didn't like Legend that much, really didn't like Heavenly Army and thought Mocha Java Smooth was among the worst juices I've ever tried. But....they have Heavenly Tobacco, and let me tell you: it's ####ing heavenly. It is a top 5 juice for me, maybe as high as #2.

So I'm going to go back to HHV as long as I think this way, and then I'll try other juices recommended here at ECF (just got some Dragon's Fire and Huntsman in to try). Get 50ml of Heavenly Tobacco, then get a sample pack to try stuff I've never tried before. Seems like a recipe for success. :thumb:

I looked to make sure I wasn't stepping on toes here SO I just went thru STEEPING ....

There is no art, science or anything technical about steeping... it's all about your own preference for a specific juice. You may like juice A right out of the mailbox, juice B may take a week or so... juice C may not develop the flavor you prefer for longer ( perhaps months )... Each of us will have our own preference.

What we do suggest... test taste each juice all along the way... just when you get it, then a week or so later and so on.

Actually, I let Heavenly Army steep another two weeks and gave it another shot tonight and it's decent. Not likely something I'd get again, but much better as it ages.

Just started HHV Huntsman yesterday after about 5-6 days steep and I LIKE IT A LOT! Wonderful flavor compared to many others, mostly from Halo. I think it's because I'm finding out I lean towards a mildly sweet juice.
I have Heavenly Army and Heavenly Tobacco that are still steeping (aired out-lid on). Am anxious to start. Maybe this week.

I have had Huntsman and Dragon's Fire for about two weeks now but I'm gonna wait at least another week. Heavenly Army seemed to really open up and change after about a month, going from a juice I disliked to one I'd actually consider again. Can't wait to try both of those! HHV has a returning customer here, Heavenly Tobacco is just terrific and their other juices are pretty interesting and well blended (sans the Java disaster they have).

Huntsman gets better the darker orange it becomes. It begins as a more complex Dark Horse, but after a month, the honey/maple notes rise and it comes into it's own.

This is good to know but I will probably soon forget. I'm finding it hard enough to remember which juice is in which carto/minitank. ahem.

What this means is this... I ordered HHV's Tobacco, Army and Hunstman on Oct 31. Took about a week to receive and as stated three posts above (#64), started on Hunstman on Nov. 10th.
Took my first vape session on Army yesterday and put just enough Tobacco in a tank to get a good comparison to the first two and also my 1st RY4 (maybe?)

Does STEEP time include travel time from vendor to me or only time after I aired them out for 24 hours once rec'd?

Verdict(s)
1- I like HHV juices so far. Not a bad one of the three. I like them all better than anything Halo except Voodoo.
2- My budds lean toward the Huntsman, but the H Tobacco is the closest so far to full bodied analog, which is actually pleasing.
3- My budds ARE NOT discerning the sublties that are spoken of in the forums, especially http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/274904-natural-tobaccos-1908.html and http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s/193327-really-big-ry4-roundup-long-468.html
3a- I'm really surprised by 3 because my budds can distinguish the variences of various foods all existing together on the same fork.

HHV's Purity line needs the 24 hour caps off, due to using alcohol for mixing. Once that evaporates, then the true steeping begins. I like HA fresh, but Huntsman is best after a few months. I'll vape it anytime, but it's really good in a few months.

Heavenly Tobacco should be good to go, since it's not from the Purity line (or so I have read).

Remember for #3 -- taste is subjective. Everyone gets different things. Dragon's Fire, to me, still tastes much like sweetened raisin bran cereal, while many others claim it tastes like chocolate.

So I tried both Huntsman and Dragon's Fire after a months steep and these two are both winners. Like I said with Heavenly Army, I tried it too soon and didn't care for it so I made sure to let these two steep a while to get a better feel for the juices.

Dragon's Fire is a bright and flavorful NET. It's light but it has really great vapor production and is somewhat rich. This is an easy and enjoyable vape though, definitely worth more experimentation.

HHV describes Huntsman as "a medium bodied tobacco with woody, earthy tones." I think that's a fair description but this one comes out as very cigar-like to me. Bold, great vapor production (like most HHV juices), yet smooth and refined. I let a cigar smoker try it today and he said he tasted chocolate, which I found interesting. I don't taste chocolate but there is something there that takes the harshness out of the flavor and makes it a really nice after dinner vape IMO.

Both are winners though. I think I prefer Dragon's Fire but Huntsman might be the better crafted juice.

I'm glad to see that you're enjoying them.

Yes, they do require steeping for the most part. I find it interesting that your cigar-smoking free tasted chocolate in Huntsman, of all liquids! Legend or Dragon's Fire, maybe, Shadow and Heavenly Army, sometimes -- but Huntsman???

Huntsman is all forest-y goodness, with peat moss and leaves of bright hues, dew drops and honey and maple. Whatever it is, it is pleasurable :)

Well I'm not tasting chocolate in Huntsman, but my friend did. I do think it is very cigar-like though, or at least something I would associate with a cigar. Keep in mind all my smoking in this life is cigarettes and the stuff that is legal in Oregon now. Not much cigar, no pipe, maybe a few cloves, very few hand-rolled cigs; just Newports to Marlboro Lights for 20 years. So I'm branching out to new things and expect you to guide me here. :)

Have not tried Dragon's Fire yet but after weeks of steep both my Huntsman and Heavenly Army are better and better. I'll try to narrow them down to the top contender HHV Juice, of the 3 I have, which includes Heavenly Tobacco.

Budds being what they are... and I LOVE CHOCOLATE call me afflicted/addicted I detect no chocolate in Huntsman or Army. They are quite flavorful nonetheless.

Budds being what they are... I'm not picking up forest-y, moss, leaves, dew, honey, maple. rabbit fur OR elkhorn velvet either. :p :D

Next order at the end of December will include Serendepity, Shadow, Pirates Booty and then Nice Pear and Crackberry. Anything else I should try in a sample pack maybe? Going to also order a 30ml of Oompa and probably my standard 50ml of Heavenly Tobacco.

I miss the Oompa.

I need to grab some on my next order.

I recently tried HHV Legend and Shadow based on the reviews Ive come across and I wasn't disappointed. I like them both but am glad I came across this review. I will be passing on their other non tobacco flavors but I will be reordering Shadow. I found that 1 day with cap off and a couple days of steeping was all that was needed. I highly recommend shadow for a richer tobacco flavor and Legend if you want a more smooth and mild tobacco.

I guess I am luckier than most here as I can drive to HHV and sample them. Just made my 1st trip there today as I have read many mixed reviews here. I came out with 9 flavors I will reorder for sure. Pirates Booty and Dragon's Fire are the top 2 and OP I would say give them another chance if so inclined. But am confused about the mocha java smooth reviews..... I get nothing but coffee and chocslate from this particular flavor. Maybe I got a fresh batch? Maybe they have tweaked their recipe since you ordered? Idk but I will reorder for sure

I can't say I like Serendipity very much. I'm going to put it on the shelf and go back to it, but it doesn't seem like the best mixed juice. Oopma is smooth with the chocolate, tobacco and other flavors mixing nicely. With Serendipity I taste the cocoa and the tobacco, completely independent of each other which makes for a strange exhale/aftertaste.

I didn't like Heavenly Army either when I first tried it and after I put it back on the shelf for a few weeks, I think it came together and I ended up thinking it was decent. Hopefully the same happens with Serendipity.

I am going to try Pirates Booty and Shadow this weekend. Dragon's Fire is a top five vape for me, and I really like Huntsman as well.

Huntsman is the sweetest tobacco flavor I have tasted. I get maple notes big time, no chocolate though. Actually maybe a baking chocolate. I lobe HHV juice. Haven't run into a flavor I dislike.

I live in Georgia and was visiting family this past week end and ended up going over to their store. I couldn't remember off of the top of my head what I had put in my online cart, so a lovely young man named Michael assisted me.

I tried jiggy...it's perfumy and not what I was looking for, Georgia Peach tobbaco....eh, ok, still not what I was looking for, White lies...a bit weak, and a few others with no real success.

I adore AVL and was running out of my punkin tumble (sniff, sniff, tear) so I tried their pumpkin spice...no not what I was looking for and then he handed me trick or treat..yumm success!! I ended up buying trick or treat and just peachy. I like just peachy, it's sweet and kinda scratches that itch that my swisher little peach cigars used to.

So it may not be for everyone, but hey, I left with 2 more juices then I came with, so did my step son who is brand new to vaping.
