I posted at 4:41 that my order was in...it is 4:25 and I am loaded and vaping !

Beautiful, secure packaging.

Light weight. Pretty. Easy to fill the RES. (Took my brain a second for the right/left turn junction !)

The size is best comparable to the ProVape I have....The Ultra is just a bit smaller around....with an atty-shorter since the atty is recessed in the RES.

No difficulty sliding the tube to use.

I like this a lot already !

Sorry for the late reply. Awesome to hear its working out for you. What do you think of it compared to other mods you have tried?

Excuse the dumb question ........ but what's wrong with the 10440? Was GrimmGreen only trashing it because of capacity? I mean, is there another option?

There used to be a lot of quality control issues with protected ultra/trustfire 10440s but now that aw has one and there is a high drain 10440, things are much better with the 10440, I am perfectly happy vaping with an aw or imr 10440.

Wow!
I received my Apex Alpha Ultra Max RES 3.7V today. The shipping was fast, I ordered it last Thursday and the mailman came with it this morning to me in Sweden. I must be the first to have one in Sweden, maybe in whole Scandinavia to

It's my first mod but I can't image me to need another one. It works, looks and taste wonderful. It’s a piece of art and an amazing craftsmanship with classy details like the engraving in the bottom and inside of the main body. It has a nice vapour with a good th and feel. It was no problem to set it up and start vaping. The switch works flawlessly and I have no problem to fire it at al.

A downside, and I’m sorry to say, but the liquid (24mg, regular full flavour) tasted and smelled awful. I’m in no way an expert on liquids and taste is different for everyone but it was like burnt popcorn. It’s the closest I get in describing the taste.:(

This gave me the opportunity to wash out the RES, dry it with some paper and fill it up with some good old Hangsen RY4 ;) It worked like a charm and tasted even better than in my eGo clone bat with ECHO cart.

My wife and friends have had the fun to mock me for “the giant” size of the Ultra Max but they are comparing it to an ordinary cig. I think it was smaller and lighter than I thought it would be and it fits perfectly in my hands.

I don’t know yet how long the battery will last for me but I think there is a good “mileage” in the RES. I have dripping in it a couple of times when I felt it needed some. I was a 1½ pack of smokes before and I now use about 4-6ml 24mg liquid a day.

I’m sure I will be happy with my new, shiny Alpha for a very long time.

Ok, a quick update on my loved InnoVapor Apex Alpha Ultra Max RES.

I had it for a week now and it performs excellent. The switch was pretty easy to handle when I got it but it’s even smoother now, and I have not polished it yet. I have operated it with sweaty hands and even with greasy hands. My friends have tried it and none of them had any problems with the switch after they figured it out how it works.

The 17670 battery performs very well. I fill up the RES and put a fresh battery in it at 7am and drive an hour to work vaping almost nonstop. I use it thru the day, some days more, some days less depending on what I’m doing. I mostly ad a few drops thru the tip when needed. Sometimes I accidently overfill it but it’s easy to just blow it out through the small holes on the RES and wipe it off. I store the Alpha in my pocket and not a single drop ever has been spilt out. After work I drive home vaping along and at around 5pm at home I change the battery for a fresh one. It’s amazing

I tried some different tastes, mainly PG. Taste, vapor and TH is excellent with my LR attys.

One thing on the downside. I have noticed it when I unscrew the top cap of the RES.
Sometimes it feels like the ceramics is gripping on the inside of the tube. I have to screw it back and forth until it loosens. I’m afraid it's going to break one day. When I take it off, the ceramics around the tube is loose and if I try to turn it there is some crunching sound like there is loose ceramics inside. Is it supposed to be like this?:(

As for the Nickel plate tarnishing... It’s beautiful. It gives it a very personal look. I even had to take some pictures to show how it looks.

Very glad to hear you are continuing to enjoy your Alpha, don't worry about the ceramic. You are not going to break it removing the top cap. The threads are very fine and if a small piece of whatever gets in there it can make a little grinding noise. Usually a good rinse under the faucet, making sure to give the threads a good blast will get every thing working like new. I little noalox or Vaseline on the threads can help to.

Remember the RES is backed by a 10 year warranty, so if breaks under normal use, we replace it, no need to lose any sleep!

Cheers,

SH
