So I just got a Rev2.1 I realize there is a learning curve and apparently I have a lot of learning to do. Please bear in mind I'm a nOOb, been vaping for about 2 months.

First question, do I have to use a carto with this?

I've tried 3 different cartos & they just taste bad, really bad. I've pumped the bottle to fill the carto & used cartos that I pre filled. I'm tipping the PV when I pump it. My cartos are not dry. I'm no pro vaper but I have learned how to fill a carto. I'm getting a very burnt harsh taste on this, so harsh that it hurts.

Please keep in mind, I'm not a big carto user. My favs to use so far are, to drip, a 510 vision &/or smoktech cartos. I just picked up some ce2s & ce3s.

Can I fill a 510 vision & use that on the rev, & just pump the juice bottle to keep it full? or a smoktech?

Could I just maybe be sensitive to the filler in cartos

Could this not be the right kind of PV for me?

Any advice/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I usually use a ksd vv pt if that's any help.

Thanks for your input & advice.

I wish I could help, but I'm having the same problems. From what research I have done a basic carto is about all I have discovered. I tried previously used carto's different from what came with my kit and they still had that weird taste, I'm assuming it's a residue in the bottle or needle.

I also find I have a hard time puffing on it and get very minimal vapour. Thinking it's just not for me but glad you started this thread, maybe some folks can help us BOTH out! :D

Maybe your juice mix is too thick to feed with the needle? Or you need to feed juice into the carto a few seconds longer than what your doing now? Because I don't use rev 2 mods I'm just guessing but based on my experience I'm throwing out some thoughts.

I use a bottom feeding mod and use only carto's on them but I use reo's so I don't have to worry about squeezing juice through a needle to feed the juice. I use a 70/30 vg/pg mix, which is quite thick, in one and I know it takes a bit more to get the carto juiced up. In my other reo's I use a 70/30 pg/vg mix which makes soaking the carto a breeze.

Maybe try dripping several drops of juice in your carto just to get the filler a bit wet. Another suggestion is what I do after I squonk on my reo - take a couple of short quick pulls off the carto without firing it up....to help get the juice up to the coil.

I'm using 70/30 PG/VG mix and I have been waiting for it to saturate. I thought that may have been the problem, that's why I tried using a prefilled carto, same result though, which I was surprised by.

Funny thing is Freaknugget, the worst taste is from the cartos that came with it. That's why I tried some of my other used ones

My bf and I just got a Boge Revo V2.2 each from the classies and we both love them so much we use them more than our eGos, Diamond mods, and old goat bottomfeeder combined. I'll try to reply to your post:

First question, do I have to use a carto with this? No, you can use anything you want to!

Can I fill a 510 vision & use that on the rev, & just pump the juice bottle to keep it full? or a smoktech? Yes you can. I suggest the tipping of it and a long squeeze. Short squeezes will just send the juice right back into the bottle. For atties I like to tip, squeeze, and suck without pressing the button to fire. When I hear it gurgle, I stop, and it's perfect.

Could I just maybe be sensitive to the filler in cartos? I doubt it. I haven't heard of anyone being sensitive to the filler. If it tastes harsh and burnt it's because there's a problem.

Could this not be the right kind of PV for me? Yes, but it just sounds like something isn't working right.

So the cartos you're using work fine on your other PVs but taste burnt on the Revo? Is that correct?

Thanks ChellyNelly,

If I'm struggling with the learning curve I think using a 510 vision will help me out, at least I can see what's happening.

Da, you are so right & never thought about it  I can now see how the short squeezes would just suck the juice right back into the bottle.

I'm really hoping it's me not working right. That's likely it

Thanks

I use a revolution v2.1 and would suggest trying a 306 atty on the device. I also use boge carto's any carto installed on device must be pre-filled. When refilling from bottle turn unit almost upside down and squeeze bottle for 5 plus seconds. The first draw after filling you should have some gurgling from the carto. Do not bother to try kanger carto's on it they will not work, I have tried CE2's with good results as well.

Sorry, I guess I missed the part where I asked if I should GET something else.

Thank you SO Much for your educated answers to my questions, you are so very informative.

Oh, sorry! i misunderstood yr question. lol :p
Reo grand is better since it is made by metal.
No wires at all, you can change yr battery if u want(for higher voltage experience)
I got a reo grand already and i was planning to add a rev 2.1 into my collection.
After I saw a review said that reo grand is better than a rev 2.1, i changed my mind.
Maybe you can sell the boge and get a reo grand or provari.
I am waiting next month to get a blue screen of provari!!!!:vapor:

I love my V2. Make sure you do a few things:

1. Clean out the 10ML bottle and needle with hot water and then with cold water.
2. Before you fill your carto blow it out from the threaded end. just put your mouth around the threaded end and blow.
3. Always shake your bottle of juice before filling with the V2 or before you fill the carto.
4. Pre-fill Carto- i use the condom method- put about 10 drops of fluid in the rubber end and then thread end down lower the carto into the rubber end.
