Hello everyone. I'm bumping this thread to continue this discussion.
I also recently received a boge revolution v2 and i'm hoping for some direction. at first the instructions were ambiguous as to whether the carto should be filled to some extent before using the pv. after using the pv without topping the carto off first, i've decided that filling the carto to some extent is necessary.
for those that use/have used this pv and have gotten the hang of it: do you periodically top off the carto in addition to gravity feeding? i'm sure i'll know when it's necessary judging by performance and my own ability to use it, but some feedback would be awesome.
thanks.
:)

Hey erictho

Yes, you definitely want to "pre-fill" the carto prior to using. If not, you run the risk of burning the carto filler, hence pretty much ruining the carto, and the juice in it because it will have a burnt taste afterwards. I never found it necessary to manually top off the carto while using it. After a while you will get the hang of when to squeeze more juice into the carto after using it for a while. You might notice a "dry" hit when you take a vape, that will be your indication that you need to give the bottle a squeeze or two.

I recieved a Boge V2.1 last week
I have only used my old 510 cartos and atty's on it(pre-filled) and have yet to fill/use the tank, I havn't needed to use the Boge carto's yet as the 510's are working fine.
I have also tried my clearomizer on it.

No issues so far as to performance or flavour, only when the clearomizer wick needs to catch up or the Atty/cart is running low does the flavour start to go bad, In that case I just top off or tip the tank.

Cartomizers have some special needs when it comes to filling I find, you can throw 10 drops into a new cart, blow out the excess, install, and get a dry, burnt vape.
It can take some time for the juice to soak into the core, that time depends on the thickness of the juice, temp, phase of moon, yadayada...
Even a top off can take a bit of time to soak deep, attys with cartridges are faster but have less capacity and don't work all that well with the tank fill feature.

I've tried a few things on the Rev, and I can say that my favourite setup on the Rev is using it with the Kanger LR HBC cartos using an unsealed 510-510 adaper. Being bottom-coil, it means that the liquid hits the coil first, so it works much like an atomizer; there's no need to soak a certain amount of the filler first before you can get a good vape off it, but you can still squonk quite a bit in there to soak the bottom of the filler to act as a reservoir. The adapter is needed for the Kanger HBCs because otherwise there's zero airflow. But this is my preferred way of using the Rev, and I find it works quite well.
