How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop??? :D

Seriously though...
I vape dark, strong, grimy Naturally Extracted Tobaccos (NET's) most of the time and it's not uncommon for me to re-wick my rda 2 or even 3 times a day. Once the flavor starts to go downhill and the vapor drops off even with a fresh battery, it's time to pull the cotton and burn off the coils.
Sometimes I get into an unflavored juice kick and when I do, I can go 3 days before pulling the wick.

It all depends.

I vape NET (notoriously gunky), so I dry burn/re-wick RDAs after 4-5 hours of constant use. For RTAs I dry burn/re-wick after every tankful which, for me, is about twice a day. I usually rebuild the coils every 4-5 days to maintain peak flavor. At $6 for 100' of Kanthal A1 and $12 for a bag of organic Japanese cotton pads it costs around $0.15 to coil and wick a Magma and about $0.05 to just re-wick. That's the beauty of RBAs, even using the highest quality supplies available it still costs only pennies to rebuild.

Thanks kiddos. Man I think I need some wicking advice. Ive been wicking a dual coil Tugboat with one long piece of Cotton Bacon. I thread each end through a coil and the middle of the cotton strip ends up being on top of the center post. I try not to get it too tight or too loose, and then doubled it up under each coil 2-3 times. I would love to see some better methods to help intensify flavor if anyone has some pics.
