rewicking genaric tanks

i've read some posts showing how to rewick bottom coil tanks with cheesecloth or cotton and such.
will this work with top coil tanks but just make the wicks longer?

What tank are you using? What is it a "generic" of?

Need to be a little more specific. Kangertech protank? EVOD? ...?

no markings on it.
coil is at the tip end and has the long wicks running down the side towards the batt end.

ok i found out its a ce4 type generic simular to visions.

I like to use Peaches and Cream yarn for top coils. I just pull the 4 strands apart then slide them through the coil together to get a nice wick.
