Ribbon Wire Wrapping Tech.

The title says it all. I have had good luck so far, however it seems to be very "inconsistent"..as in, I have to wiggle hot spots out pretty frequently. I have tried wrapping by hand and even the drill bit method.

Is there something about ribbon wire that needs special attention?

Well after much experimentation, I finally figured out exactly what was causing the issue. It was the top and bottom wrap leading to the coil.

When I first tightened the posts it would flatten or turn the wire horizontally and cause the wire to come in contact unevenly. So to rectify this, I just slightly twisted the ribbon slightly so that this twist would not occur.

Now everything is right in the world and producing clouds, although I still somewhat inconsistent. Still much better and smoother than my first wrap.
