Nice, those plated contacts look great.
Will the non-hybrid rba also have a gold-plated 510 connection?
I like the idea of a lock ring that is a little thicker than the body.. I find I'm frequently unscrewing the button on my Lux because it's rather tricky to unscrew the lock ring without unscrewing the whole assembly.
Why are contacts gold plated? Silver is much more conductive, even copper is more conductive than gold. Is it because of gold does not form oxides? It would be great to have a choise between gold, silver and copper contacts, as I prefer more frequent cleaning and better conductivity.
The Lux certainly is a stubborn B**ch!
On this particular one, the larger ring doesn't do it for me. Maybe if there was an additional accent on the tube that was the same diameter as the lock ring, but as-is, it kinda looks like it was thrown on there as an afterthought instead of an integrated feature.

I have to say that the locking ring is not doing it for me either. Maybe a knurled ring or something flush with notches in it would be better. Have you considered another hole for a dual wick or U wick set up? At $124.99 this goes up against the iHybrid Pure which is $99.
I bet you will still buy one and sand the lock ring down.
I'm going to buy one for sure. I already have magnets on-hand to convert the spring switch, and the lock ring will be my second order of business

Yes the fill hole will have a knurled Screw. Don't need to carry a screwdriver around. Haha
I currently do not have any polished hybrid pictures. I only have the matte pre-production hybrid as I was only going to a matte Hybrid. But the polished finish will look like the Polished Little Richie drip tips. Highly polished mirror like.

I don't like the lock ring either. It looks too fat and I agree that it needs another brass accent to give it purpose. The rest of it looks amazing! I would like to get one last look at it before I jump on the list.
I think I see a problem.
Have you built a coil on it yet? I worry that, with that reduced air chamber, the built coil will collide with the top of the top cap.
In this iteration I'm not purchasing it.
That bottom is awful, looks like an afterthought for a lock-ring. Feels as if someone placed a fat elastic band over it for whatever purposes, maybe a mod stand inducted into it. Simply put - it's awful!
Sorry for being blunt. But that's what comes to my mind. And I always wanted the best for Richard. I been on this thread from the beginning, fetched the R/M genny on it's first run, have reviewed it here (indicating also how to better it) and have asked for this hybrid.
But who am I. Others might find it perfect!

I agree. The ring looks out of place, and makes the entire product look bad. Really thick.
The production locking ring is much more smooth and in conjunction with the design. The other pictures with the large brass button was just one of the prototypes.
