Ridiculous claims by an online vendor in Malaysia

I'm not sure how this might impact the vaping community and legislation in the US/worldwide, but vendors like this aren't helping with their false claims and inaccurate information.

This vendor claims that their cartomizers are USFDA-approved! They also blatantly declare that ecigs are a smoking-cessation tool (we all know they are, but aren't online vendors to refrain from stating this?).

The claim about their cartomizers being USFDA approved is close to the bottom of the page. They also make other claims about how their liquids are endorsed by government bodies.

What have these people been smoking??!!

I sent them an email asking why they made these statements when they are false. I'll see what they have to say.

Malaysia isn't part of the USA so I guess they can do whatever they want. I read allot of BS now days that's idiotic.

I am just a n00b, but I have a rebuttal. So, PG and VG are USFDA approved, right? And flavorings like LorAnn's are USFDA approved, right? And I am also pretty sure that medicinal nicotine is also USFDA approved. There are your ingredients. TECHNICALLY, they can claim to be USFDA approved as all of their ingredients are.

However, they are being shady as hell. The devil is in the details. Sadly, that is why there is such a profession as lawyer. What they are saying is WRONG, even if they are right in their own shifty way. Of course, being from Malaysia, they are pretty likely not breaking any rules or laws making their other representations. Again, I am not defending them, but if you want to fight the bad guys, you have to be smarter than them...

I understand where you're coming from but they actually claimed that their cartomizers are USFDA approved....they didn't make the USFDA claim about their ejuice.

Cartomizers are an e-cigarette component and I'm pretty sure the USFDA hasn't approved any of them to date.

These guys are pretty much the equivalent of the Smoking Everywhere brand you have in the US.

i had to take a look at this website for myself. and all I can say is WOW! Must be nice being in Malaysia, safely outside of the US Gov't jurisdiction.

I wonder if I will get a response to the message I sent them...here's a copy of it incase you want to see what I had to say on the subject:

"Our Cartomizers are approved by USFDA and are safe" is an interesting claim you're making. I live in the US. The FDA is still fighting to keep these products out of the country, so how in the world can you make the claim that the USFDA approves your cartridges? I guess there is a huge advantage to being based in Malaysia where the US FDA can't actually smack you down for making such a ridiculous claim. I wonder, are you willing to be completely transparent here? Are you willing to show me the documentation you received from the USFDA? If not, you won't be getting me as a customer. Thank you for your time and I hope you make some adjustments to the claims on your website. They are grossly misleading and detract from what the Ecigarrete community is trying to accomplish.

thats about what I expect too but I just couldn't leave that alone. Ridiculous doesn't even seem like strong enough a word for some of the claims they made.

this is true too. but as false claims go, one is merely an exaggeration of the truth, the other is a bold faced lie.

Most likely their claims are true. They must be true because I read it on the innerweb thingy.
