I've been debating with myself over which one to choose. Is there much of a difference between the two? I am quite partial to my 3.7v vaping and for now, my wallet will not support my purchasing of a 5v e-cig, so let's just stick to these two models.

I've seen video reviews on both, but I'm mostly concerned about the longevity of the unit. Any help would be appreciated. :)

There's very little to no difference performance wise. I always recommend going for the one with the best price.

Minor differences are the Riva comes with a 750mah battery vs 650 for the Ego. In theory you should be able to get a little longer running time in between charges. In practice the numbers and what people report are so close is would be hard to distinguish if that's is true and if it would be minimal at best

The button on the Riva has a softer rubbery feel, the Egos button has a harder surface....preference.

Do you know which manufacturer makes the Riva? Is it Boge?

The PCB on the units that I have is made by Helo..... I do not know if they assemble the complete unit (Riva).

Personally, I prefer the Riva.

Thanks Scottbee! Wow, it's been a long time since I've talked to you on these here forums. I'll take your word for it and get the Riva. I'm glad that you're still here. :)

I bought a ego Mega 900mAh 2 complete units. I thought health cabin had the best deal because of USA vendor's were splitting the units up but adding adapters, etc 1 atty 1 cone 2 batteries but adding a 510 to 901 adapter.......doesn't allow you to have *2 complete pv's .....so I bought it on Sept 20 2010 within the first 2 weeks a battery and an atty died and I did the warranty exchange mailing it back to them Oct 8 I'm still waiting for it which they first said, it was mailed out Nov 12 then Nov 22 ? They keep telling to be patient? Im still waiting for my first battery and the second just died 2 weeks ago. My point is buy from an American vendor if you live in the u.s .......the latest is "what's your account #, I had a memory lapse". Along with its bad weather since Nov 1 and they gave me a China air tracking # that is t recognized ........by the time you get your replacement if a 3rd goes bad 6 months have lapsed! Look for an American vendor with at least a 6 month warranty.
My brother went with a riva which he upgraded immediately to a 900mAh battery

Oddly enough or maybe not your first order from healthcabin arrives promptly........and I know that ems is faster but China airmail ........3 months ?......... I could've had it driven here quicker. Buyer beware.

Well, good thing that I just ordered off of Liberty-Flights. At least they have a warehouse and shipping center here in the states. I NEVER buy directly from China.... For that very reason.
