Riva batt thread

Hi all,

Is there a way to replace the thread on a Riva batt?

I've just gotten some LR 510 atty's and they all screw in find to one of my riva batts, but on the other only one does.
I have a feeling that the thread might be damaged.

If not, where can I buy 510-510 adapters?

Not sure what the thread diameter or pitch is but you could go pick up a bottoming tap at the hardware store and chase the threads to clean them up.

The problems with attys that don't fit is that they are too small and slip straight through.
What would a suitable filler be?

P.S. I'm completely new at this sort of thing - tapping thread etc.

I would send it back. Sounds like the battery connection hole is oversized. Sorry I assumed too tight from the first post

I wouldnt use lr atties on the riva batteries. I just had four batteries go in less than two weeks because of lr atties.
