Use the slow charger. Also get a multimeter, it will tell you more about what is going on. Just be careful not to short out the terminals when checking a battery voltage.

Don't run batteries down until they are dead, even protected ones benefit from not being taken down to the minimum.

When you get your New Battery from LF I would suggest you use the Wall Charger instead of the USB Port on your computer.

USB Ports have been know sometimes to not supply enough Power to the Charger.

Also, if something goes bad in your charger/battery, better to blow a fuse in your house verses blow a USB Port in your computer.
