I don't know if anyone else has this problem with their Riva or eGo. But whenever I used a Boge cartomizer and put the cone on the Riva, it cuts into the carto leaving lines. Sometimes shredding/tearing the sticker a little.

I usually don't use the cone because I prefer an easier drag and the cone makes the drag really tight.

I'm considering drilling a small hole into the back of the cone to allow air flow.

You just saved my life! I've been meaning to sand down the end of one of my cones so it will have a wider opening for when I want more air flow, but how easy is a simple carburetor? When I want a tighter draw, a simple finger over it would work wonders! A drill bit and 3 seconds of my time. Wow.

Thanks!!!!!

That will be a lot easier than trying to figure out how much to take off the end of the cone. I'll just start small and work my way up if it's not enough. Heck, I cover two of the slots under the atty or carto sometimes, so I'm sure we're looking at 1/32 inch maybe. I just wish I could have thought of it. Now it'll be the "roxics variable air flow mod". LOL

Lol. I'll go for that. Let's see how it works.

Or get some 901 Riva cones from Liberty Flights. They are made especially for cartomizers and are much shorter than the 510 cones. They fit both the eGos and Rivas, of course.

Ya know I heard the 901 cones were shorter. But I didn't even think about that as an option. Thanks for the tip.

Wonder if they've changed the cones recently? I've had my Rivas since August and use them all the time with Boge Cartos never had a problem with them touching or digging in. The cartos are a smidge wider than the carts but not that much. I guess I'm backwards I prefer the tighter draw and warmer vape the cone gives. Boge Cartos are way to airy for me otherwise.

Lol :) No problem. Though I haven't done it yet, but if you get to it first, recommend me a drill bit size.

I don't know what your experience level is, but for anybody who tries this, there's a couple of tips worth keeping in mind for anything of this sort.

1. Use a good sharp drill bit that is meant for metal. NOT one from a multi-size combo pack that was in a discount bin at walmart.

2. Find a way to clamp and/or secure the cone. You're trying to drill into an irregular round object that's been painted. The last thing you want is for the thing to move around.

3. Use a center punch or nail to make a small indentation first.

4. If nobody comes out with the "right" size bit, start with a very small one. You can always run a bigger bit in the hole if it's too small.
