I do love my SE's but I have to ask...

Are the Riva SE's from LF now from a new manufacturer? Where they/are thy EM?
Is it that the SE version with the on/off function is lower than the original, cause Ive seen non SE EM with on/off still at 750 elsewhere.

Ill still use them of course, just a bit confused.

Thanks.

•Now w/ 3 Click ON/OFF feature!
•Battery is activated by pushing a button.
•Battery is sealed so is better suited to dripping as e-liquid can not leak in to the battery activation switch.
•650mAh, 4 times as long between charges as a standard 510 battery.

From the US website....

A typo, perhaps? :)

Pamdane, the raw voltage, unloaded, off the charger, means very little. Those batteries are regulated. The true voltage under load is what matters. You may want to read this...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joye-510/65055-battery-voltages-surprise.html#post962734

Anyway, per Scottbee's measurements, the old, small (650 and/or 750 mAh) eGos and Rivas delivered ~3.1-3.2v under load. The new Rivas (including the SE line) deliver true 3.7 v under load. The newer, higher mAh eGos deliver as much as 3.3-3.4v under load.

Their capacity(mAh) is a different matter altogether... :)

mAh - milli-amp-hours, is a unit of charge commonly used in electronics industry. This is a measure of how many charges a battery can store for later use.

Here's a good link if you really want to understand it. [I don't. :D]

What makes you think it is 650?

Because thats what your website says.

For 510 Riva SE:

•Now w/ 3 Click ON/OFF feature!
•Battery is activated by pushing a button.
•Battery is sealed so is better suited to dripping as e-liquid can not leak in to the battery activation switch.
•650mAh, 4 times as long between charges as a standard 510 battery.

ETA: Before they had the on/off feature, the same ones were listed as 750mah.

I was talking BOTH mAh and volts. Riva has always been 650. The link I referred to: eGo Vs. Riva: Are the batteries the really Same? - YouTube

Pamdane, I'm familiar with Cozzi's videos.

Battery capacity is a rather arbitrary number; it sort of depends on how you arrive at it. I believe that Riva makers just did their calculations differently. That's all. 750 mAh looks better than 650...

And recently, the 1300 mAh EM Riva turned out to be a 1100 mAh Riva....

I trust Scottbee...

That said, there are many different versions of Riva batteries on the market, some made by Eastmall in their own factory (?) or by Hello or by somebody else altogether. I have a Tru-Riva, distributed by Trueman, that is neither EM nor Hello? Nobody knows what kind of battery is inside and how the capacity has been calculated.

Oh, the vagaries of Chinese manufacturing...

See and here I was thinking if its stamped Riva, it was real :)

I constantly meter all mine, even under load. I KNOW what I've got. Ditched all my eGo's, even the 1000 mAh tank, when it didnt come up to scratch. But I dont think mine are very old. Even the ones I've gotten in trades that looked like they've been through WWII meter at the same levels as my verified Rivas. Why clone a clone?

Hee hee....

I have four working Rivas at the moment; two have a large stamp, one has a little stamp, one has no stamp....

Are you testing them under load? I'm impressed!

But I'm confused; the old ones should meter somewhere between 3.2-3.2v under load, the new ones--3.7v. That's what Scottbee confirmed on his rig and I trust him blindly. Are you getting different readings????

BTW, I still like my eGos. The 900 mAh eGo (~3.3-3.4v) is wonderful with Boge 2.0Ω cartos and with T-atties.

Why clone a clone?

Why indeed....:p

in case any confusion remains, the Riva is, and always was 650mAh. We were initially told, by EM, that they were 750. It has come to our attention that they are not, and we have updated the listing. If you see a spot where it is still listed as 750mAh, please let me know.

thanks
!
