Can someone tell me if we can build a single coil on the RM3 'for dual coils'? There's an RM3 listed 'for single coils' and an RM3 'for dual coils'. Does this mean the RM3 'for dual coils' is limited to dual coils only or can we build a single coil on it? Sorry I had to ask, but it's unclear and I need to order one.

Thanks Rattler, can you tell me if folks like the RM4 pretty much? Have you tried that one?

Also, what's the difference between the RM2 and the RM3 'for single coils'?

I have an RM4, IGO-BF, IGO W-BF and I still choose the RM2. I have not tried a RM3 but just can not imagine it working better than the RM2 unless you just have to have a dual coil set-up. I am not saying any of them are bad but for my vape (single 1 ohm coils) it is just my preference. I have other atty.'s that I like but in REOsmods stable you just can not go wrong with a RM2.

I have both the dual coil rm3 and the rm2. The build deck on the RM3 is unbelievably small. It's fun to build on just incredibly small unless you're working with 30-32 gauge wire. The rm2 has to be my all time favourite atty. I love buildin on this thing so much. So much room to build and try things on.

Enough room in there to work with anything you want. Currently I'm using 24 gauge Kanthal on it reading in at .8ohms and loving it

Okay, I sure do appreciate all your imput! I've got 3 of the RM2's...It's normal in Reoland to go overboard, right? And those are working superbly...everybody likes them, and for good reason. But...

This time I think I'll try the RM4 just because I've never built a dual coil and it's got the air-control option, like super said. And I don't think my coil will come close to shorting out on the deck.

So what do you think? I want to order in the next hour or so...so just give me the go-ahead for an RM4! :)

Hi all,
I've found the RM2 is great for single coil and a 1 ohm build. It's my usual build on 3 of my Reos. I bought 2 of the RM4s because I found the flavor on the standard Atomic to be very good. I've got a regular build for one LP Grand that uses this at about 0.7 ohms.

I have a question for the group about the use of the RM2-RM5 on Reos.
The only problem I have with the RM2 is that it seems to hold onto juice flavors. I don't know if this is because of the ceramic base or if there is a well below the base but getting it back to neutral seems to take a day of cleaning and drying, cleaning and drying. I'm not seeing the same issue with the RM4 but it is more of a hassle to build. I'm planning to pickup an RM5 or two for further experiments.
Any thoughts or suggestions about getting the flavor out of the atomizer/reo?

Thanks,
Frank

PS: I know the proper answer is "get more REOS". With the hints and suggestions that December might be the Woodvill, Kick, 26650? mega buy of REOS I need to save my penny's. There is also the need to buy rats for my snake but that's another story.

There's no reason you cannot use it on a Mini, as long as you build your coils high enough, i mean over 1Ω. Because a Mini (more specifically the batteries a mini takes) is not designed to be a cloud chasing device that uses sub-ohm coils.

If you want something that fits on any Reo, then you are looking for something that fits inside the catchcup and that is a regular RM2, RM3, or the igo-w. 14mm atties.

So I shouldn't have my wife's mini with rm2 running a .6 ohm parallel coil (28ga) even with new AW I'M 18490s??

Shouldn't be anything wrong with that. 7amp on a fresh battery... AW IMR 18490 is rated for 16.5a last I checked. Now if we're talking about batter life, that is another story!!!

You guys all make good points. I don't want super sub-ohms because I hear it drinks lots of juice and I have to be careful which battery I'm using it with. I think only single coils above 1.0 ohms for the Mini is plenty good enough. I'd just like to play with some sub-ohm dual coils on my Grand and see how that goes. Thanks for all the good input. :)
