Congrats mrjaguar! Darn my napping schedule, I missed this one. I'm upset we don't get to know his fav book though :).

I'm curious, what Heinlein novel was the first people here read? My first was I Will Fear No Evil, recommended by my Jr. High Librarian.


#10 was not asking for my favorite...I was just curious as to what everyones favorite book was. So any Heinlein novel would be a correct answer.

Grumbles from the Grave?

I Have a copy of To Sail Beyond the Sunset his last book donated by his wife and a signed card by her that says she is sorry that he passed away that year and he could not sign it so she did.

I cherish it because he loved her so much.

My favorite has to be The Moon is a Harsh Mistress written in 1965. In that book he describes a catapult that launches empty rockets towards earth using the moons gravity to swing around the moon. Now remember Apollo 13 in 1970 they used the moons gravity to swing around and make it back to earth. He was soo ahead of his time.
