Rochester area chit-chat - Part 2

And for those who were curious about my bacon jam:

One pound of bacon, chopped, cooked crisp and drained.

Add one thinly slice large sweet onionand 3 cloves of crushed garlic,
cook til translucent.

Add 3/4 cup cold coffee, 3/4 cup cider vinegar and 1 cup packed dark brown sugar.

At this point, I also add a bit of cayenne and some cracked black pepper.

Now simmer this concoction until you cant tell the bacon from the onions and most of the liquid is evaporated.

Blend til it has a consistency of marmalade and serve on everything.

Leigh is great!!!! Please thank her again for me. I didn't catch her on my way out, she must have been inside. Your house is beautiful, the tent was great... kept me from turning lobster red, the weather was perfect, and Leigh was extremely sweet and thoughtful. Gotta love the pretty citronella candles!

Ooooh, that means a different one for each day of the week!

OMG.... I forgot I have green O-rings in my purse. Thanks Fisty!!!!

Also.... loving my new trippy tip from Kcos. Not like I needed another... I think now have 7 trippies I've bought in 6 weeks or so. Someone please tell me I don't really need any more.
