I'm working nights now, there is no way I could get the time off for it and I did try again, putting in for 'book off' days (can only sign for them, 10 days before the day off, unpaid) but too many already signed off for the weekend and the company only allow's 5 peeps to book off each day...there were a dozen+ signed each day too (first come first served) I wouldve had to take friday and sunday off (already had 31st as a floating holiday) and had monday and tuesday, my regulars, to recoup 
Hi all..so how long of a train trip is it? I'm getting tempted...plus I'd love to meet everyone.
Yeah, the timing is perfect for those leaving from our area. From Rochester, leaving at 11:00 pm Friday night, arriving at 9:45 Saturday morning. Then leaving Chigaco at 9:30 pm Sunday night, arriving at Rochester shortly after 10:00 am on Monday. (Rat, you would be in Buffalo by just after 9:00 am )

gonna be a fun time cannot wait and i have not been on a train besides the metro (so no long ride) since i was really little! we are gonna have a blast
can't do it, although i'd love it. saving my sheckles to buy toys from Mike. that and i have a family thing all weekend with folks coming in from out of town...
bummer no pin the tail on the rat on the train say it isnt so! i keep missing out ...................
So LilyBear are you still sharing the room with yvilla and me ? If so it will be us three because Jill isn't going now.
I still have no idea where I'm staying...anything I should bring for the ride?
Seems like you ought to be able to find some guy or guys to share a room with at the Hyatt. I know Spike has offered to have people contact her to be connected up with others wanting to room share (via her NVC email address).
So, what're we gonna bring for the train ride? I'm thinking sandwiches and soft drinks, some snacks...and I have travel Scrabble.
