She isn't a hater per se. She loves the no smoke smell and some of the cappacinos and caramels I brew up have a good smell. She is not interested in reading about it. Trust me I have tried. She also likes there is no ashes in the porch anymore.

I went to the doc the other day for a followup. He asked if I was still using the e cigs. I said yes. The first time he didnt say anything about the dang pill to quit. I told him no everytime he wanted to prescribe it. I told her about and I got that's good.

If she won't read it you should. Valuable info.

I share a house with a non smoker friend...I always smoked outside.....even if we were chatting at the outside table..it still would upset him .....it would get up his nose...he hates ashtrays being around....it got to the point id have to move out...so when vaping came my way 5mths ago....he is a happy fellow now....even letting me inside to vape...yes the vape clouds were abit of a worry for him at first...some vapes do hang around for awhile...but hes happy ive given up the smellys...our friendship is a lot better now...

Yeah man. The cloud gets to her.

Still we have no clue the long term effects. Since I have never smoked inside. Even 12 beers to the wind and zero degrees outside.. I was out there.

Strangely, I didnt like my house smelling like smoke. In college 4 guys and i shared a house. We all smoked and a few times opening thedoor looked like cheech and chongs van, but with cig smoke.

Man it stunk too.

This probably should go in the newbie thread but anyway do you folks find the room stays full of vapor a long time? I assumed it was not like smoke, but it seems to me the vapor is hanging around.

I concur with the humidity comment...

I'll add that if I'm parked in my car no ac and everything closed, like a hotbox?, and I'm doing vapor rings or tricks the vapor will linger for about 20 minutes.

I think that somehow the vapor if not breathed in completely maybe has more nic in the cloud and that makes it linger for longer, if I'm inhaling it doesn't last that long.
Anyone else seen this?

I just have to comment here on the very strange occurance in my world today. My hubby of 11 years (who has and still does smoke at least 2 packs of cigarettes per day, sometimes more) walked through the kitchen in the midst of a cloud of vapor I had just released.

His initial reaction was to wrinkle his nose, close his eyes, and wave both hands in front of him as if he was actually going to be affected by walking through that cloud of vapor. (I was vaping 100% vg so it was alot...hehehe.) Now some may say - okay natural reaction, but this is from a man who thinks nothing of sitting in front of our 8 year old granddaughter and blowing his smoke directly at her!

Fear of the unknown maybe?

I won't vape flavors that have a nasty smell. The reason I'm vaping is because my family got sick of the smell in the house and I don't want to spend so much time outside away from my Husband and Kiddos. Each time I start vaping a new flavor, I ask them if they can smell it. So far, none of mine have smelled bad.

Like I said tho, my Sis's fav flav is AWFUL! And she respectfully keeps it away from the rest of us.

At 30*F this morning, when I got in the car to go to work, as I was getting the car warmed-up for the commute, I swear it looked like I was inside a fog machine. I had to go inside to wait for the windows to de-fog.

I was surprised when I read this thread. I haven't noticed the vapor hanging around at all. I vape in my car all the time with the windows closed and heat going and haven't noticed it. In the living room with the light streaming thru the window, either. I mean there's lots of vapor, but it seems to go away right away. (Maybe I need new glasses?)
Not like smoking. I always had to open a window in the car.

Tell her to read this http://clearstream.flavourart.it/site/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/CSA_ItaEng.pdf Go to page 6. Read about the nic left in the air. You'll be happy you did. Actually the entire article is fantastic. Great info for us vapers to them haters.

Thanks for the article. I'm going to read it.

Can he smell your vapor? Do different flavored juices have different smells?

yep they smell pretty much like they do when you put your nose to the bottle... just in a puff of vapor lol

My husband wanted to know if I was doing my nails when I was vaping the CinniBun juice. I have been asking him if he liked any of the smells when I vape and so far he doesn't think any of them smell the way I think they do. Any of them. Maybe it's just his smelling that's off.

The one thing I learned from this thread.....wives suck. :D

Nah.. you just have to understand them. 20 years in and I give up. :)

No they don't. Depends on the wife. :) (and the husband  ......just teasing!)

I read the paper and so the conclusion is:
"On the base of the obtained results and on ARPA
data about urban pollution, we can conclude by
saying that could be more unhealty to breath air
in big cities compared to staying in the same room
with someone who is vaping."

Love it. Thanks for posting this. :)

Maybe it's the juice that I vape but no one can smell anything. Even in the car with my family and the windows up... nothing. That surprises me because the flavors are strong to my tastebuds and on the exhale. The windows haven't fogged up either.

Some of my family are still suspicious of the vapor though..

I just started a thread about this... please give me some feedback AND encouragement!

Sorry about my rant there...and fear of the unknown might work if we hadn't Both done the Njoy Npro thing a few years back. No it is not fear of the unknown, actually wish it was and that he was a considerdate, intelligent person, then I could explain it to him and have him understand what it is all about. But unfortunately for me - he is the person who thinks I am stupid for even vaping in the first place, makes fun of all my equipment, etc..etc...and is probably upset that we no longer meet at the kitchen sink in the morning to cough up our respective lungs.

My granddaughter (8yrs old) tells me which smell wonderful and which are kinda iffy...she is honest and very happy that her only Gramma is no longer using analogs...it's funny, some that even I think smell a little strange, she tells me that is not so. Her mother started vaping about a month after I did, so I do have a small support system here. Even my little chihuahua who snuggles in my lap every night and use to jump off when I would have a lighter in my hand, now raises her cute little head to sniff the air when I release vapor...it is too cute.

At the time I was smoking cigarettes, my little dog would lift his head up when he heard the lighter and jump off my lap and go lay on the floor far away from me. Now he stays in my lap and occasionally will sniff the air when I exhale... little nostrils twitching... then lays his head back down and goes back to sleep.

That's HARD evidence there is nothing harmful in second-hand vapor! ;)

I don't know. I think maybe different people smell different things. I'm told my fav flavs (even the tobacco ones) just smell like cooking sugar. My Sis thinks her "Honey" flavor smells like honey. In a house of 6 people, she is the only one that doesn't think it smells like a public toilet. I truly believe she likes the smell of her vape. She's not just being stubborn. OMG do I wish she was just being stubborn! Then there might be a chance she would get tired of it and find a non-stinky flav to be her fav!!
