Brand new to vaping and the Volt. Having some problems, though.

I have found that the airy draw also comes from the cartomizers. I have had batteries that have an airy draw and when u change cartos, it's not as airy. I believe it has to do with the threads and how the air holes line up with the carto slot. I have 3 suggestions.

If the battery seems to be the cause, try taking the carto off and then blow into the battery for a second or two. When you stop blowing, you will see the led light up and stay on for 7 seconds. This gets any air pockets out of the sensor.

Second, try unscrewing the carto just a touch, this makes the air holes line up differently with the carto.

The third is what I do. Take a toothpick and push the tip into one of the air holes on the battery, and break it off, leaving the tip of the toothpick in the hole. This will "clog" the air hole and give a harder draw. It works every time. I have asked IMAGINE about it and she said it will not hurt the battery.

For the record, I have experienced this on batteries from several companies, not just the volt
Good advice on the toothpick trick. I've been wondering what the best way to plug one of the holes was.

In my case it is not the carto's either. I can switch the same carto between my 3 batteries and all 3 will have different draws with that same carto.

It's not the caro, I have tons of batteries and cartos to compare. Since the batteries are new I would rather send them back and hope the replacements are better. I'm going to send these to imagine so that we might figure out how to fix them. Smokeless image has great customer support and they have already sent out replacements.

They have replaced a couple for me too.

Def the batteries. There seems to be an epidemic of airy auto batteries lately. I have ordered 8 small autobats in the last 2 months and 6 out of the 8 have this issue (not just SI batts either). I have returned them but the replacements where the same. There is an obvious delay in intital draw 2 seconds or just no fire at all which makes the experience feel airy. I think its a global problem but nobody from SI or other vendors have noted such. All the batts I purchased prior to Feb work fine and fire up immediately with no airy draw!!!! Also my X2 draws fine. I am thinking about making a YouTube video to show the issue cause I feel like its a huge problem and its making my experience frustrating.

can someone explain where the air holes are? I would like to try the toothpick trick. TIA.

Unscrew the battery from the Carto. If you look around the threads of the battery towards the bottom, you will see two tiny air holes one on each side. Stick the tip of a toothpick in, and break off just a little tip and leave it in the hole. You may have to wiggle it a little bit backwards and forwards because you don't want a big giant piece. It should be about the size of a small splinter. Only do it in one Airhole. The key is you don't want the text to be sticking out much on the thread side, otherwise you won't be able to screw the carto in right
