So I have an ego and I'm ready to move up. I was looking at provari just not sure if I'm ready for it cause it's sooooo big, same with lavatube. I saw a thing called rough stack that is pretty stealthy and it works at 3.7v. Just wondering if it's consistent 3.7v like the ego is consistent 3.4v (or 3.2v can't remember) with no dropping of volts as the battery gets lower? Also what are your opinions on the roughstack and also what would you do in my situation. All answers are welcome! Thanks!

I have the Roughstack V2, its my work mod and so far it's holding up pretty good. I work at a automotive shop so it has some battle scars. Very simple design and small enough for stealth vaping around the shop, kinda ugly looking but it works. And yes you need an adapter for tanks. The most I got out of it is 2 days on a fully charged battery. I notice that the taste of the vape and vapor production dwindles as the battery goes low and thats how I can tell it needs a new batt.

Almost ordered one, hesitated again; started looking at the VariStack, found a full kit for $40, almost ordered it, hesitated (too good to be true?) looked some more, found a clearance VV tube apv at cloudsofvapor, $35 (and they give you a discount code right in the product description!) so, I guess the Roughstack isn't for me.

Rough stack V2s are nicely machined. They do a really nice job with the powdercoat (if you choose one with finish). Now and then, the switch might need an alcohol bath and to be mashed about 20 times, but in the ~14 months I've had V2s, that's only happened a couple of times and in the ~2 years I've been using rough stacks, maybe four or five times total for the four different rough stacks I've had (still have three V2s, but traded my V1 a while back).

They are inexpensive. They are simple. They are incredibly durable. They look nice. They are reliable. The maxi RS is the smallest 18650 tube mod I know of.

The RS is my favorite tube mod for cartos. As mentioned by others, the RS requires an extension to use a tank. And, they do not have a juice well or catch cup, so overdripping is to be avoided if you are a dripper.
