I agree with everything you said excepting only that last sentence. Squonking is not a full solution because dripping drops of juice straight onto the coil(s) helps to keep up the flavor performance. Other disadvantages include not being able to use your favorite mods so, because human perception of flavor is skewed by other stimuli that are linked to the brain (yes seriously), as a result the flavor, and feel, of the vape experience is fairly limited.
It depends on the type of RDA you use for squonking. There are some that "drip" on top of the coils as well. But honestly it doesn't make a difference to me, whether the juice comes from the top or the bottom. Just let the wick swim in juice for some time, before the excess is being sucked back. Same result, much more convenient than dripping.

Prefering one over the other doesn't mean, that you can't get an enjoyable vape from either.
And change isn't a bad thing ;)
I'll be finding out how I'll like squonking Monday. I'm a little bit of this :w00t: and a little bit of this .

Good RDAs deliver on flavor much more than any RTA. To get such a saturated vape out of an RTA, you have to wick it accordingly, but that's nearly impossible, because then the tank will constantly throw a leaking, gurgling and spitback party. And how convenient is that?
So convenience is a completely different matter and doesn't change the flavor even the tinyest little bit.
But as you said, use an RDA on a squonk mod and convenience becomes a non-issue.

I agree saturation of cotton plays the most important role in getting great flavor but hot very airy sometimes vape that most RDA produce is not something that I enjoy... anything below 0.5 ohm makes vaping too harsh for me.

Good RTAs deliver enough flavor for me without gurgling and any spitback...my wasp nano RDA spitback more often than all my RTAs combined... Leaking happens sometimes with some user error or on some RTAs just after top refilling but some RTAs are more leak proof than most of RDAs unless you keep your RDA always upright.

Convenience maybe do not change the flavor but... at least for me make... vaping more enjoyable...

Yes, BUT... all of that introduces new limitations because the ones that drip/splash juice onto the coils limit your RDA choices even more than squonking already does because not all RDAs can be fitted with a squonk pin, and the ones that can are not necessarily always as good for squonking as they are for dripping, and, personally, I find that just letting the wick swim in juice for some time is not more convenient than dripping because that requires me to wait at times when all I want is to just chain vape away.

Squonk bottles also typically are limited as for how much juice they can hold, and, as soon as they start to become half empty they don't always pump the correct amount of juice despite you're using the soft rubber type ones. Refilling them can sometimes create an awful mess, usually at times when you are pressed for time running outside to have a quick vape, and can be more time consuming in such a way that having enough time available for only a long series of only short breaks to go outside vaping can become the final drawback that puts you off squonking. I find that tube mods are more convenient for me to carry around in my pocket everywhere I go. With a mech squonker I typically feel a tad less comfortable with the risk of the mod starting to auto-fire inside my pocket, which is extremely important to me as I always vape above the CDR of my battery if I'm on a single battery mod so the safety is always going to be an added concern in my case, and I don't always have time to rewick so the concern I have about the auto-firing is not solely related to safety.

So the question was what is the best RTA for flavor. OP is looking for a rta is my guess. Fact is today there are quite a few that provide a quality vape. You just need to narrow down what you are wanting as far as coil type, af, juice capacity, etc.

I disagree with your assertion that most RDAs produce a hot vape. The dual coil build that I described in my first reply to this thread can not even be called a warm vape, in any RDA excepting only the type that's either very restricted or MTL, but I don't like the very restricted or MTL types even though I need at least some reasonable amount of restriction going on so usually what that means is my air holes will be about 2/3 of the way open.

just my 2 cents

its a personal thing everyone has their own preference i like a warm vape, not hot ,and dense thick vapor and full on flavor , so i just pick a setup ,do whatever build i fancy ,and mix a juice to suite .

mixing your own juice is the way to go . trying to get that extra tiny added bit of flavor from all the different attys out there is a trial and error experience .

just find a setup and atty that will tick all your own boxes ie different builds and juice volume and draw etc etc and work with it to get your own sweet spot . ie temp ,flavor and vapor density and draw style .

I have more attys than i can shake a stick at from the last few years and dont even want to think of the cost etc just do your own thing .

out and about i am pretty discreet but at home i like to fog the house out .

Series Titan and Plus FTW!
I still need to try the series deck out but only have a 2S PWM at the moment.

Love the Mix and Match too!

You've got limitations everywhere. More so on RTAs.
You want a specific kind of airflow, topfill, jfc, juiceintake or builddeck? All of it is limiting your choices.;)

I'm pretty sure you'll like it.
In regard to "convenience" you should invest in one of those handy 510 refill bottles. It makes refilling a lot easier and less messy;)

Meh. I don't think you remember how dripping really started, back in the 901 days. The mechanics of it is of no consecuence, yes is the height of the dripper. One with a shallower pool will wick better than one set high up, that's why I love short attys like the Entheon, but spitback is an issue. Yes, flavor is great, but spitback is a real issue.

I'll stick to my tanks, thank you!

He's got the Laisimo F4 too. I didn't understand how to make a series... Now I'm closer to keeping this thing. I'm not fond of electricity. So those coils must be around 0.4 each? I'm a little intimidated by the monster...

If you have say a 0.4 ohm coil and run 2 of them in a parallel setup your resistance should half ie each coil has a leg going to a poss and a neg so they each take half of the power so will be around 0.2 ohm build.
run it around a 100w or so and you will have a warm to hot vape etc.

on the other hand if you do a series build with same coils you end up joining one leg of each coil together making a larger single coil in theory so the resistance will double . so the 0.4 ohm will come out around 0.8 ohm
run it around a 100w or so and you will have a cool to warm vape etc.

series deck is a wonderful thing

Thanks TrollDragon I do like to mix and match hence to many attys but more is also good ay .
you realy should try out the series deck it just opens up so much more build potential .

Vaping did its job for me got me off the coffin nails for over 2 years now and its still a hobby i also like shiney stuff lmao.

Thanks! Talking to a third person as if you weren't there... But I'm still not sure if the Titan or the Plus. The Plus is an oversized Blitzen. I'm not new to RDTAs, I had the original Aromamizer back 3(?) years ago... It's a wonderful, easy build for me. I'm just intimidated by the size. I don't mind the overhang, but I'll get it a new mod if I opt for the Titan...

Lucky for me I don't have to remember, as I only started vaping in January last year. While I agree with @mimöschen on that everything poses its own set of limitations, I strongly disagree with his assertion that squonking will cause the convenience drawbacks of RTAs and dripping on RDAs to magically disappear, as his colorful description of "non-issue" is still a very far stretch away from the real vaping world. It just illustrates in good detail what I mean when I say you can't get the best flavor from an RTA. The OP's question was which RTA do I feel gives the best flavor. To which I replied.

That said, whether or not spitback becomes an issue depends on several many factors. If the coils are the angry type that give violent spitback, then if they are positioned closely to the center of the deck where they'll be directly underneath the drip tip I can see how that can be a real issue especially with bottom or side airflow and especially if the height of the sleeve-and-chuff combination is pretty small. That's why I generally tend to avoid RDAs that will just blow the spitback straight into your mouth (e.g. the Reload RDA, which, BTW, leaks like a sieve if you just dump juice down the middle of the drip tip...) and go instead for RDAs that simply don't do this (e.g. the newly designed Reload X RDA that fixes that mistake, or the proven incredibly amazing Kennedy RDA). Tighter wicking as well as aging of the coils (e.g. excessively dry firing, if they're not made from the SS metal type) will almost certainly help to, often greatly, reduce the annoying spitback that typically burns your mouth. But in the end, thinner wire in cohort with more complex builds is going to be your best ticket to your journey away from volcano-like spitback, and into a flavor chaser's wet dream. You're just going to have to trust me.
