I'm just not sure if I should contact them or not.

Then how else are ya gonna resolve the issue? dontknow.gif

Thanks for the responses, everyone

Then how else are ya gonna resolve the issue?

Depending on if anyone else had this issue, I figured I could either resolve it by contacting RTS, or by contacting a psychiatrist for some antipsychotics ;) Not one person having the same issue is making me think I should test-vape each individual component just to be 100% sure before I contact the vendor.

Thanks again, folks!

I have had the issue. A while back (early summer) my husband ordered some 100%VG nic from them. I didn't get around to trying to use it until the 30-day period had expired, so I didn't bother contacting them. Even so, it was HORRIBLE. Utterly unvapeable. Even diluting it down to 5mg nic it was incredibly harsh and nasty. I cannot express how horrible this stuff was. I threw it out.

From what I read in a thread on their forum here, at one point one of the labs that was making their nic was adding something to prevent discoloration and SOME people but by no means all, were sensitive to this ingredient. (I'm obviously one of those people.) Those who contacted RTS about it received a refund. Subsequent batches, according to the thread, have been made WITHOUT that ingredient. So if the problem existed at some point, it likely no longer exists in newer batches.

I have not tried any RTS nic since and have used the stuff from Blue Mist instead, though I'm sure it is fine at this point. I did recently get an order from RTS just to test, but I haven't gotten around to it.

What I suspect is your nic came from one of those bad batches. I would contact RTS, and explain the problem. I'm sure they'll issue either a refund or replacement as needed. Other than some drama thing, I haven't seen anyone say anything bad about RTS service and it appears they issue refunds without question in the 30 day period.

Not that I can really complain, but I do find it a little annoying that instead of being offered a replacement, I was given a credit for my order amount when I bought the bad bottle during a sale. It's well within their rights to do, obviously, but I went from ordering a bottle on sale to having to pay full price minus sale price for a new bottle plus the cost of shipping to return the bad bottle. Hmmm...

Well, it may have to do with the fact that C.S. says no one else has had any complaints about the batch. Now that I've read that, I can understand the credit vs. a replacement. I'm not sure I'd believe me either.

So now I'm wondering if there was something up with the de-fillered carto I was using to test, since those wicks can hold onto nasty flavors for a while. I offered to hang onto the old bottle and not use the credit while I try to find and order a debridged atty to re-test. Waiting to see what they say. I really don't want to rip them off, but I think that's what they're afraid of.

As a registered supplier I am not allowed to discuss business under this thread. Please post in my thread and we will make you happy no questions asked.

Don't you worry, sir. My issue may not be resolved yet, but you've already made me happy. Your customer service has been fantastic, and I will definitely keep doing business with you and recommend others to do the same. Please excuse my knee jerk reaction of complaining in this thread before I had all the details of what was going on.

No reply necessary at this point. As soon as I find out more relevant info, I'll be in touch.

And thanks everyone for the help!

FOLLOW UP: It turns out that I am a dramatic overreactor. Whatever nasty taste I was experiencing was NOT from the RTS liquid. I haven't found the culprit yet, but I repeat THE RTS NICOTINE LIQUID WAS PERFECT.

PLEASE do not shy away from RTS because of my poor judgement. They sell a high quality product and have just shown that they give EXCELLENT customer service, even when their customers are making ridiculous assumptions. Definitely a vendor worth doing business with.
