Discussion of clones is perfectly fine in most instances :)

If discussion of a particular manufacturer/supplier/etc is forbidden then typically it will be automatically censored, though I'm not 100% sure there are any of those, I can't think of any off the top of my head that would be. If that's the case, the name after posting would be displayed as "......" instead of the word (and is censored for a reason so don't try to evade or defeat that forum feature), but I doubt you'll run into that circumstance

Some places get really stroppy about clones. So can you just clarify, can I post a thread asking about experiences with a specific cloned coil from a certain rather 'slow' ;) Chinese retailer in the clearomiser forum or will I be breaking a rule?

Thanks

You can post about fasttech in the fasttech forum where fasttech can respond if they choose to. They are a supplier and are not supposed to post in the other forums about their products.

Oh, and if the "slow" vendor you're referring to is Fasttech, then yes you can discuss them. There is actually a social group forum for Fasttech topics: FastTech or you can post in the appropriate sub forum for the product type (such as the "clearomizers" forum, etc)

Thanks for clarifying, I'll go ahead. :)

No, not unless it is against the rules to post it in the clearomiser forum where these particular coils are being heavily discussed at present (the official ones). I'll get more help there.

It's not against the rules, but you'll have more success in forums/threads already dedicated to a specific vendor than you will in a general (clearomizer) forum. And it reduces clutter. In fact, if you would have just gone to the fasttech forum area to begin with, you would have seen plenty of discussion about clones and there would have been no need for this thread. Just saying.

FastTech is not allowed to post in the FastTech social forum. Suppliers are limited to talking about their products in the supplier forums only.

If you were concerned about forum clutter you would not have posted to tell someone off, for asking a mod/administrator for advice before posting a thread (& thus avoiding a rule break). Especially when they gave me the green light before you posted. Just saying.

Even a mod on too much caffeine on a bad day wouldn't speak to someone like you just have. And where do you get off telling people off for asking the mods for rule advice. By the way that was a rhetorical question.

To everyone else, thanks for helping. :)
