Could running an atty too cool cause premature failure?
I'm running 3.5 ohm atties at 5 - 5.3 volts, but saw somewhere that said that 3.5s should be used at closer to 6 volts. I've had several atties die off on me after only about a week or so of use, when I used to get several weeks to a couple of months out of them.
