Not necessarily. I hope someday to have a picture of a coil Statistic made for his kittyz great friend in the middle of a heated discussion. It was sort of like

I actually have a little jig setup that I use made of a surgical clamp and a 14 gauge syringe needle that builds perfect coils every time. I developed it for rebuilding the protank heads that my other mother(close family friend) uses in her tank. She's in her 60s so I rebuild her tank heads for her so she doesn't waste her limited income on new ones, and she keeps me supplied with delicious, nutritionally terrible things that I can eat. Years of rebuilding my old vivi nova heads, and now her pro tank ones have resulted in me spinning off coils that look like they were designed by a computer and made by a robot.

What a nice puppy you are. :)

Statistic's design was more of a gesture than a coil to be vaped.

I bought it from here: Russian 91% Rebuildable Atomiser by KEBO V2 (NOT SPRING LOADED CENTRE PIN) Northern Vapour

It is an original and not a clone.

I'm moving from EVODS (or attempting to) that are 2.4ohms and I used to power them at around 4.2-3v.

I will today - Look at the insulation block, try another coil that has 12 or so wraps (using the supplied kanthal with the russian) and I will supply pictures.

Thank you everyone who has chimed in with your opinion/advice - its much appreciated.

So an update....

Tried one coil on a 1.4mm or so drill bit with 30awg or higher with a 11 wraps and got a reading of 0.9ohms, wouldnt fire.

Tried again same drill bit but 21 wraps. it was reading stupidly high (around 8ohms) so via trial and error I kept on shortening it until it read 1.8-2.3 ohms. Its now sitting on 1.9ohms and firing :D

However, it is very slow to actually heat up even with 4.2v+. doing some test burns and the vapour production is pitiful.

So on one hand I have come to rule out that the russian is faulty & its my terrible builds that are the root cause for atomizer shorts.

However I dont understand why its so slow to heat up and why vapour production is so poor?
