Have you noticed greater amounts of e juice being vaporized when using the metal tank instead of the pyrex? I don't mean by vaping it. I'm referring to the heat of the tank.

Ok let me re-word that. If you use the metal tank instead of the Pyrex, does e juice, evaporate or get used up quicker. I was thinking it held in more heat.

I find the difference - metal versus plastic - negligible, if anything at all. I do find a vaping difference, though, in that I tend to keep the metal configuration more topped up out of paranoia since I can't see the juice level. I find I can better 'tune' the juice volume in the tank with the plastic section.

It's doubtable, but could possibly be very minimal. If it does, it's because your e-juice is getting thinner and therefor wicking better. The chimney is all metal, so I doubt anything but the outside temperature is different, and only because of insulation.
