You know there more I obsess about it, the more I understand. Perhaps I should of got a full size russian, or kayfun, as these purposely have a deck that catches juice from the 510 connector. Unlike the 91, or plus. What prevents the plus or 91 from leaking around the 510 after a tank, or two?

Decks are similar

Perhaps I shouldn't of used the word deck. There is a second piece that screws onto the russian full size, or kayfun, it's the bottom piece and it's sole job is to catch juice that leaks down from the air hole.

On the russian 91, there is nothing to prevent this.

I have a few 91s and a couple of KFLs, none leak from the air hole or the 510

Update on my Russian 91% Version 2. I got the Version 1 center pin from VaporDNA and had the spring loaded pin in the V2 replaced. It has worked good but not as good as the original Version 1 Russian 91% that I picked up to keep it company. The original Version 1 has been flawless.

Yesterday I was rebuilding the coil on the V2 with the VaporDNA V1 center pin and took a good look at the deck. It did not look right. Sure enough, the positive post block had rotated so it was perpendicular to the negative post. Now about a week ago I did have to adjust the center pin on it because it would not fire on my Provari (got OP error) so I extended the center pin a couple of turns.

I ended up having to totally rebuild the R91 v2. Again. Had to take the center pin out and the positive block totally off the device. Took me half the night. It looks good now. The positive post is not as tight as I would like but after struggling to get the thing back together I could not get it tighter.

I have identical coils and cotton (as close as possible) on both my R91s. The original v1 is working flawlessly. That stinking r91v2 with v1 center pin will not vape properly. No way is it my coil building or amount of cotton now. Even with the v1 center pin it is not performing as it should.

Moral. Do not buy a v2 Russian 91% even if the center pin has been replaced with a v1 pin. Unless you want to keep rebuilding it down to removing the pin and block. I am done with the Russians by Kebo. Will not buy another one. Too much money to take the chance they change the thing again. The fix has not held for me. The center pin was replaced by a very experienced vaper and RBA person that works at a vape shop and does rebuilding all the time. So it was not a bad replacement of the pin.

When I go to my next vape meet I will find another experienced person and see what they think and see if they can get the positive block to stay tightened. Grrrrrr......... My Version 1 original Russian 91% is flawless and wonderful. No problems with builds, wicking or how it vapes. Just this V2.

Anyone? I'm torned between going with the new one and praying it works or with the old one
Trust me when I tell you, it's not even close, go for the v1. I own several v1 and v2 and all my v2's are a PIA even after trying to replace them with the v1 pin, the only way I finally managed to get it to even sort of work right was by ....ing tightening them with pliers, which causes the top of the pin to poke out of the airhole on the deck by about 1.5 mm which I find insanely irritating. That forces me to raise my coils much higher than I would normally have to and it's just not the pleasure to use that I've come to expect from my kayfuns and Russians. And I'm not tightening it that much just for kicks, that's the only way that the positive post is even sort of tight and even then if I tighten my screws like I normally would to secure a coil it will often just decide to swing free and cause a hard short bc of the tension created by the coil between the screws. Definitely do yourself a favor and get the v1 or hell just get a kayfun lite v2, honestly I used to be all about the Russians but all this bull.... has really turned me off from kebo.

I have had zero problems with my v2, since I replaced the center pin with one from Vapor DNA.

Strange because I got mine from vapor DNA as well. You don't have erratic resistance readings? Or the terminal coming loose again ever, and your screw doesn't protrude past the level area of the build deck where airflow comes through?

. couldn't agree more, I've had the exact same experiences as I wrote in my comment below yours. It's even more frustrating to me, since the v1 was an insanely great rta so why the .... did they have to mess with it, especially when they saw and they must've seen in the QC or at least once the vapers got their hands on the early batch and complained about all the issues immediately. It just baffles the mind, like what the .... were they thinking?!?

I think my screw does protrude a bit. I have 4 R91's, v1's and v2's. Tightening the center pin, so the center block doesn't move was my biggest challenge. I have a blog that explains how I tighten it. Let me know if you want pics. I have pics posted in a thread somewhere I can find if needed. I have zero issues with any of my R91's with leaking, erratic resistance, or the block moving.

I'm not a vaping hobbyest. I was just looking for a better vape than I was getting from clearomizers. The only RBA's I owned were R91's until recently. The R91's are easy to build and work well for me.

I had an opportunity to get the latest version of the Fogger at a good price, so I ordered a couple of those. Once I figured out how to build and wick them properly, they seem to work as well as the R91. The foggers have glass tanks which are an advantage over the R91, but replacement parts at a reasonable price are almost impossible to find.

Check out the Squape Reloaded. It's truly miles ahead of the kayfun design and better than the fogger.
