Hi all. I wish that I would have found this site sooner but I already placed an order for Safe Cigs. I did research them and they seemed like the cartridges lasted the longest. Has anyone here tried them recently and if so are they a decent quality?

My mom who is 73 has COPD and emphysema. She ordered from American Blue Tip and it was very poor quality and no nicotine. I have to return it for her.

I ordered Safe Cigs for both of us and hope that they are not a rip off. Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks.

They are expensive... I don't know how good they are but if I were you I would return them and purchase something that is recommended on this site. I purchased the Eastmall Riva for under $60. 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 10 cartridges, a charger and cone. The cone is the help it asthetically since it's a bit thicker than the atomizer/cart. The plus of there types of batteries is the battery life. I'm not a heavy vapor, probably around a couple hours a day I'm using it and one battery lasts 2-3 days. YES, thats days not hours.

Thank you so much for input. The problem with the 2 that were suggested is that my mom will not be able to handle refilling liquid, too many parts, etc.

I know that I paid too much after looking at this forum but if it helps us both to quit smoking "analogs" it will be a small price to pay.

One of the things that I liked about the safe cig is that the cartridges are atomized. The only review sites that I could find rated them as # 1 and the carts are equivalent to 2 packs each so that is inexpensive compared to analogs. The reviews also said that they produce lots of vapor. Ease of use is as important to me as the quality since my mom is elderly. She would give up if it got too confusing for her.

I guess that I will stick with this order. They don't ship out until tomorrow morning so I could still cancel the order so I would love to find one with atomized cartridges and good quality for less money.

Thanks again for the input.

I can understand the idea of ease and simplicity.

BUT NO CARTOMIZER IS EQUAL TO 2 PACKS OF CIGARETTES!!!!!
IT IS A STRAIGHT UP LIE!!!

well, maybe an ego megacarto that holds 2.5ml juice.

The real issue is the price, that model is an RN4081 with cartomizers. They are about $35.00 everywhere. PLUS the battery only last a short time.

You should look at vapor for life. They are well regarded, have BETTER 808KR batteries for HALF the price, and there cartomizers are about 8 bux for 5 and they have 50 something flavors. They are continually rated as one of the 2 best 808 & 510 by the very professional reviewers on this site as opposed to the paid or commisioned ones on the e-cig review sites. I'm sorry, but I think you've been reading "sponsored" reviews, made by the company that sells them. No real review would make claims like that.

There is no such thing as an e-cig that will last for 2 packs of cigarettes on one fill. It doesn't exist. This is the kind of claim that a dishonest company would tell you, not someone trying it in the real world.

And "Safe Cig" is not the only company that makes "atomized cartridges" (which we refer to as cartomizers, cute huh?).

The Kr808D-1 is an e-cig with a cartomizer, and you can buy a great starter kit for $35 bucks.

They are extremely easy to use - when one cartomizer gets dry, un-screw it and put on a new one. They typically last me 4-6 hours of heavy vaping, and 8 hours of light vaping, which, for an e-cigarette, is a LONG time.

I choose to refill mine to save money, but you don't have to - you can just throw them out when they're used up. It's extremely simple and hassle-free. And the a pack of 5 cartomizers for a Kr808D-1 is $8 or $9, pre-filled, not $13.

Maybe a Kr808 is the right kit for your mom. Because the more you say about "Safe Cigs" the more it sounds like they are probably a very dishonest business.

I actually did order an 808 for all three of us (mom, husband, me) I ordered 2 from Vapor King that is all they had in stock and will not be getting anymore. I found another today at Valuevapor.

I also received the safe cig today and did not even open the pkg. I will ship back (insured of course) first thing in the AM. I hope that I do not have an issue getting my refund but am so glad that I found you guys! You saved me tons of $

Also, I had an idea that the reviews on the ecig review site were tainted but if you don't know what you are looking for it is really hard to find good info on these things! I am really looking forward to getting my 808 and will keep you guys posted.

BTW- I also ordered the menthol e liquid from Valuevapors. I could not find a cart in menthol.

While you are at it, Order a couple of "Q" 510 disposables. They work great right out of the box and are a great way to try out a 510. My "disposables have been going for months. Madvapes has them for $10.00 with very reasonable shipping.
I think the KR808 is more like a "light" and the 510 is more like a full flavor, due to the amount of air mixed in the draw.

Ooh. I wish that I would have known that. My mom is a heavy analog smoker and I tried my best to get one that will help her kick the analogs. I am already worried because I ordered the 18 mg carts and maybe should have gone with the 24 mg.

Thanks for the advice. I will check those out

Could we plug some of the holes to make it more like full flavor? She smokes full flavor 100 analogs

I wouldn't, all that'll do is probably kill the vapor. And quite possibly over-heat the unit.

Just let her try it out first - I was a heavy smoker and 18mg is fine for me. If it's not enough, get some 24mg cartos.

I was just thinking about it and I am pretty sure that the starter kit I got from Valuevapors comes with 24 mg carts. I am sure it will be fine.
At this point it better be!

BTW- Where to get the best tasting ejuice? I have seen some that do not care for the taste of the one that I ordered today. Can't remember the name but out of China.
