Hi, im new to the e-cigs. I want to get 1 but have been researching on which one to get. Im thinking of getting the safe cig, Electronic Cigarettes by The Safe Cig :: USA's 1st & Best E-Cigarette, but have read mixed reviews about there customer service. I was thinking of going with the safe cig because i read the throat hit is very close to a real cig, and the atomizer is built into the cartridges so you wont have to worry about replacing them since you always replace the cartridge. The starter kit is $70. I would like some input on what you guys think about this product. I also saw though that alot of people say its over priced. I dont really want advice saying "thats a good 1 to start with", i really want to just buy 1 and never have to get a new1. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks:)

I use to smoke a pack a day about a year and a half ago. About 6months ago i would smoke a pack about every 2-3 days. for the past 3 months i usually smoke 0-5cigs during the week, but on the weekend i always drink, and end up smoking about a pack a night. I can go without cigs pretty easily except for when i drink. This is a major factor for me quitting, and i would like something that would help me out. Quitting drinking isnt really an option for me, as i am a college student lol. Also, i was wondering if you know will it be easier for me to run when im vaping vs cigs?
THANKS

O and i usally smoke marlbro menthal or marlbro milds

I wouldn't recommend the safe cig. Their cartomizers (which they call cartridges) are proprietary, meaning that you will always have to order from them. At $12.50 a pack, they're a bit pricey. Plus, if they go under, you're stuck with an e-cig that you can't use.

For a starter kit, I highly recommend the eGo. You can use cartomizers on them, like the safe cig you're looking at, or you can use an atomizer and a cartridge or drip tip. The connection is 510, which is the most common. Almost all vendors sell 510 items. The eGo is a very versatile pv and it performs really well. I wish I had started off with it when I began vaping- I definitely would have saved some money and aggravation!

Good luck!:)

Don't buy anything unless you know what Chinese model it really is, whether it's a good model, who else sells parts for it, what it should cost. The web is full of bs ripoff rebranders who overcharge and lie (about how long a cart lasts, how long a battery lasts). The worst sites usually have "testimonials" and "24-hour live help" and bs "review" sites claiming they are are the best. Typically the ripoff rebranders also will not sell blank carts and eliquid. They may also charge ridiculous prices for parts. Or they may look fine but just sell an incompatible or unidentifiable model and you will be locked into them for supplies.

Joye 510 - 180mah battery = 2-3 hours for a light-moderate vaper
Joye 510 w/ mega xl batteries 280mah = 60% more charge or about 3-4.5 hours for a light-moderate vaper
KR808D-1 (see LiteCigUSA.net, also sold by Vapor4Life.com) 280mah for the standard battery, 180mah for the shorty

Recommended to get any of those as manual batteries, not auto

All are about 9mm thick - slightly thicker than a cig. The KR8 is about a cm shorter than Joye 510 w/ mega xl batteries (KR8 standard 2/ carto is 120mm). Anything smaller/thinner than those would probably only keep you happy for 3-4 weeks at most. Those two model lines, 510 and KR8, are the most popular and they are the most supported for adapters and styles of blank cartomizers.

I'm pretty sure that's a KR808D1 which isn't bad but, you can get a better price. Those cartridges are cartomizers and they are available lots of places again you can get a better price. They won't be the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes. More like 3 or 4. You can toss them when they are used up but, you'll save a lot of money, if you refill them. You'll also have a lot more flavor choices. There's nothing wrong with that choice. There's nothing special about it either. It is overpriced.

That said, you'll probably detest the battery life with anything that is cigarette sized.

Safe cigs are 4081's and are fatter than a real cigarette. Very over priced and not worth the money. Since cigarette smokers are considered society's step children and looked down on, why would you want it to resemble it? I know, we all thought we wanted something that only 'looked' like a cigarette when we first started...boy were we wrong.

Well starting out I wanted something close to an actual cigarette, just for the same feel and psychological crutch. That soon went to wanting better performance and vapor production. There is a ton of info and reviews around here that could overload your senses. My two cents worth is try out a 510 kit and if you have the extra cash get a couple of eGo batts to play with too.
I know www.vaporgalaxy has good prices on their kits and run about average to most reputable vendors. I'd also pick up some 510 cartomizers as well and don't focus on trying to find a juice that mimics a cigarette (doesn't exist) I have never found anything that resembles tobacco, and really I think the flavors are way more interesting and fun than that anyway.

Hi again.
the 510 is an 180 mah battery. What that means is the battery charge only last 2-3 hours, unless you vape heavily. The bigger batteries offer longer times between charges. This is good when going out or to work so you don't have to carry so many batteries. And you get better hits from them also. They are so many ways to vape, so to say 1 cart is 3-5 cigarettes is probably true since they do not hold a lot of juice therefore you have to keep refilling them more often. Lots of info on this site and there is a learning curve to find what fits you best.

Go with a Riva starter kit. It's usually cheaper and it's probably where you'll end up after changing those batteries every time you turn around.
