Safe E-liquid in Canada

Hi I’m a tobacco user in Canada and I heard about vaping and I’m thrilled that maybe I can quit smoking tobacco. I’ve read much on the internet and watched videos and read some comments to the point where there are many questions in my mind. I need your help.
I want to ask if there are regulations about selling these e-liquids or not any under control? There are many ethical people making and selling but some people might not care as much or maybe they don’t know what is safe? For example when I buy a cigarette I’m sure it will be same every time and under government oversight. It will be affecting me in the same very bad predictable way but I’m sure there is no chemical that could possibly kill or injure me unpredictably because every time it has the same regulated ingredients. I don’t know much about chemicals but clearly some e-liquid could be unsafe especially if I buy from seller who using diacetyl or peg 400 or diethylene glycol etc. I wouldn’t want to use unsafe e-liquid.
I looked at some e-cigarette sellers but they don’t give on their site their complete ingredients but only giving the main things and some don’t give PG/VG ratio. Some stating “secret recipe”. I don’t want the exact percentages of flavour chemicals but I do what to know every chemical of the flavours (which I’ve read can be up to 20% of the e-liquid). I feel that if I will be repeatedly vaping then I have the right and obligation to know. How many times have we all heard that something is safe then 20 years later find out some bad affect?
The only company I’ve seen giving all their ingredients including flavours is V2 CIGS and they even have a download page. Unfortunately I cant buy from them because importing nicotine e-liquid into Canada is not allowed. I want too be more healthy and safe but I feel some lost now. My thoughts don’t allow me to take something new unless I’m certain its safe. Vaping is a new sector and maybe all I need is some talk and advice. I’m certain there are wise veterans of all aspects of vaping on this site including what and where to buy the best and safest here in Canada. I would prefer VG base because I heard some people in time get a sensitivity to PG.
Your thoughts are important to me. Thank you for reading my post.

Probably the best ejuice vendor in Canada is Jugheads. My suggestion is that you contact them to ask about their ingredients and convey your trepidation. You'll find them a top notch outfit and they are considered a standard worldwide (so lucky us in the frozen north).

JUGHEADS.co We've Got the Vapors !

Happy vaping (when you get to it).

Welcome! Fellow canadian vaper here. I've done a LOT of reading and the selling of eliquid and production of it is not illegal in any way. Import/export is where ppl may run into dlfines etc. There are a TON of eliquid vendors, but I would have to say jugheads is the best. His juice is made to order and is natural. Everything is listed on his site. It's only open one day a week but worth the wait IMHO. I'm waiting on my order and can't wait. I'll be stalking the mailman :) u may have to let them steep a bit tho. I've ordered from the states with no issues. I'm a noob but ecf had been amazing at helping me figure it all out :) keep calm and vape on :D

Thanks to all for your responses.

I'm checking out Jugheads out of BC more. I like how you can choose your PG/VG ratio with them.

A company here in Ontario sells an ejuice called Gold Seal Ejuice. Their website seems well done. Is any person familiar with company? I didn't see any video on youtube about it and I didn't see anything mentioned on this forum.

Also what are your opinions on Epuffer.

I would like a seller that does laboratory tests on their ingredients and rigorous Quality Control.

Still smoking regular cigarettes while writing this msg but want to start vaping ASAP once I decide.

Greetings, welcome to the forum.

I've been to the shop that sells Gold Seal, Flavorium in Toronto, and the store person told me that this brand of e-liquid is made to Health Canada specifications....which sounds great, only I did not care much for the e-liquids there. I tried about a dozen flavours (the store allows sampling), and I couldn't find a single one that I liked. Of course YMMV.

You might want to check with some of the Cdn vape shops that make their own e-liquids. I haven't tried Jugheads yet, but I love some of the Maple Leaf Vapes e-liquids, which are made on-site.

Good luck!

I find Crystal E-Liquids, Maple leafs juice, E-juice are good places for juices. Maple leaf does say what they dont use for their liquids and they are usually pretty fast at sending the stuff you order, although right now they got a new location and are loaded with orders, so my last one took about a week, but that is because they are becoming bigger and better :)

I like Johnson Creek because nice video showing laboratory like manufacturing and testing and made in US / but not in Canada
I like V2 because they give ingredients including flavours and professional site. but not in Canada

My ideal wish list:

Available in Canada
No dangerous chemicals such as Diacetyl, Acetoin, or Acetyl Propionyl. PEG, etc
Complete ingredients list including what is in flavour (all food grade-GRAS,
Laboratory quality testing,
Distilled water-no alcohol,
Choose PG/VG ratio,
Professional site perhaps with quality video on youtube.
Knowledge and details about company/owner/founder-really increases my trust level.

Thanks for your advise for this old guy still smoking and choking on cigarettes
