Safest battery for a VV mod

So, its probably been handled in another forum, but I couldn't find one that answered all my questions. BAsically, what are the differences between IMR, ICR, INR and CGR batteries? Which of these types of batteries are the safest to use while also having teh best performance?

I know that IMR is safe chemistry, but what are the other types? Are they safe chemistry too? Also, is it better tro go with a "protected" battery, or an un-protected with safe chemistry?

You have probably seen my other posts regarding different batteries I am looking to use with the Kamry K200 VV mod. I am also looking at an EVIC and a provari2 or an OEM type of the two. Since this would be my first time using anything other than an EVOD EGO battery for vaping, I want all the info I can get, plus, considering the safety involved, I don;t wanan use the wrong type of battery and have it blow up in my face!!

Thanks

Current recommendations are that IMR "safe chemistry" batteries are the safest batteries available for mods, including the newer "hybrid" batteries. There was once a time when protected ICR batteries were recommended, but the modern safe chemistry batteries are inherently safer than protected li-ion. This applies to both mechanical and regulated mods.

Regulated mods perform best when they have "high drain" batteries for their buck boost circuitry, which happens to be IMR and hybrid batteries. This also includes mechanical mods using a Kick type module, and using an RBA/RDA.

Batteries are not created equal. Avoid cheap batteries, generic, and lesser name brands like Trustfire, Surefire, and Ultrafire.

Stick with higher quality brand name batteries such as AW, Orbtronic, Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo, and Sony.

Sub Ohm vaping requires special IMR/hybrid batteries which have a continuous discharge rate of over 10 amps.

Use a high quality charger made by Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore.
