Just bought my first mech mod I haven't used it yet but it's an AR mod that takes a single 18650 I bought genuine vtc 5 batteries and a nitecore charger because of what I've read online about safety and I'm good at building my own coils I've been running a plume veil on a istick 50 and I'm just wondering what other safety precautions I should be aware of before use

Forgot to mention, a fully charged battery is 4.2 volts. Don't discharge them down too low. I usually recharge when they get down to 3.6 volts.

Having a DMM (digital multi-meter) is handy to have when using a mech mod to measure the remaining charge on your battery and for troubleshooting other problems.
