Hi Everybody!

I'm back, and I've got a safety warning for you -- if you ever use a wet Swiffer on your floors, be CAREFUL!! Before I came home from my mom's, I cleaned the bathroom, so she wouldn't try to do it and cripple herself (bad hip). Well, I used the wet swiffer on the vinyl floor and stepped forward to get a spot I missed and that floor was slick as greased owl pooky (as we say in East TX lol)!!! My feet FLEW out from under me and I hit the toilet with my knee, HARD! Now I'm on crutches with my knee just wrecked, been back and forth to the doc and had xrays, going Monday for an MRI!!!! I'm okay cause my pain threshhold is off the charts, but frustrated out of my mind, since I feel fine but can't get around to do anything! Aaaaagggh!!!!

How is everybody? I'm happy to be back -- missed you all!............Donna :):)

Oh no! I think it's true - what they say about so many household accidents happening in the bathroom. I hope it's not too serious. I'm sure you've already been told, but RICE: rest, ice, compression, elevation. Get better!

Hi Classy!

That's true, they all are, but I've been mopping floors for 40 years and never experienced anything to compare to it-- it's definitely the Swiffer.

Good news is, the knee seems to be steadily improving -- I'll find out more when I have the MRI results tomorrow.

Well, everybody! Got the results of my MRI -- Mike (doc) called a little while ago. I have torn ligaments, with a piece stuck in the knee joint, small tumors forming from the irritation, etc. -- surgery ASAP!! Aaaagh!!! They're setting me up with a knee guy as quick as he can get me in. All I know is, the hospital better let me vape or they'll wish they'd never SEEN me!!! rofl Other than that, I'm good with it. Since my pain threshhold's so high, stuff like that doesn't scare me and we've used this particular hospital several times for hubby (heart procedures) and they are FABULOUS, so it's all good -- sooner I get it done, the sooner I can get well! Huh, I may turn into a "sneak vaper" if they say no! lol

Holy mackerel!! You poor, poor thing :(. The best of luck with the surgery, I'm glad you really like your hospital and trust the staff. I use a Swiffer but it just makes the floors sticky . Thank heavens for your high threshold for pain, but I'm glad it wasn't TOO high and you didn't just let it go. Many well wishes and prayers for your recovery.

Hey, thanks for the good wishes, Ambeck. After warnings from a surgeon and the dentist who pulled my wisdom teeth, I make sure I check it out if sumpn hurts and doesn't go away -- the both told me if it hurts me even a little, it could be serious.
