Howdy,

So Ive been making the same strawberries and cream for a couple months just making small tweeks along the way. It was sweet and a bit creamy, but now it is not. The last four 20mL bottles all taste similarly different. The different taste has been consistent across the last 4 bottles. Not creamy and bland. Has this happened to anyone before. Is this a sign of flavoring going bad? They are not old flavors so Im not sure what the heck is going on.

Thanks for your feedback.

Mike

How old are your Flavorings?

And How have they been Stored?

They are all pretty new with the exception of 1 or 2 which are maybe 2-3 months old.

I store them in a tackle box in the closet. I live in the bay area so not too hot, but I dont have AC.

2 or 3 Months isn't a Very Long time for Flavoring if they are Kept out of Direct Sunlight. And don't go thru any wild Temperature swings. Like being accidently left in a Car on a Hot Day.

Not sure what is Going on? You have Ruled out other Ingredients like Nicotine Base, PG and VG? Or any Possible Percentage Error in your Recipe?

BTW - I did my Lower Units in Santa Rosa. And I always Enjoyed driving down the 101 to the City to Walk Around and check out the Music/Jazz Bars at night. A Beautiful City.

I use Max VG and am at the very bottom of my nic bottle which I store in the freezer. My VG is only about 6 months old (and almost gone).

Ya. I dont know. Its like the cream is missing entirely. I did recently buy some flavors from a different distributor, but am not sure whether I used it or not... I have same flavor from different distributors and use them interchangeably.

The city is nice! I do enjoy it. Im lucky to live here for sure. Santa Rosa is beautiful as well. Great wine up there :)

Im going to triple check my percentages... but highly unlikely I would do it 4x in a row. Maybe the flavor is more dilute from some distributors? i would be surprised though.

Thanks for your feedback!

It could also be that the Flavor has been Reformulated to Remove Diacetyl. And sometimes there can be Old Stock on Shelves that gets Mixed in with New Stock.

Hard to say?

If I was doing it, I would probably Start Again from Scratch with New Flavoring. And Tweak the Recipe accordingly if Needed.
