I've been vaping with my e-power 3.7v for well over a year now. I was tired of going through 15-packs of cartos from Crystal Clear vaping plus always carrying a bottle of juice with me to top off every few minutes.
So I went for it and got a 3.5ml tank (3.5mL BLACK DELRIN DCT (Clear or Smoked)). It came with a single-punch 1.5ohm carto dual coil carto in it according to the description, but I also ordered 5 double punched single coil 1.7ohm cartos to use in it (510 SMOKTECH XL 1.7ohm Single Coil (CUSTOM DOUBLE PUNCHED FOR ALL TANKS I SELL) (5-Pack)) though I haven't used any of those yet. After the awkwardness and spilled juice of learning how to load the tank and prime the carto, she fired up beautifully, thick clouds of vapor and strong clean taste. But the taste was different from when I just used cartos, with the exact same liquid! This is Mango e-liquid from Americaneliquidstore, my fave. From a fully primed "resurrector" 1.7ohm carto it has a wonderful mango flavor. But from the fully primed tank/carto, it has a distinct banana taste on top of the mango! Now I know banana flavors are "tank crackers" but this is mango so I don't know if that has a role in it since we're talking flavor here. I've swapped the two back to back for taste tests and the plain carto definitely gives much more mango flavor. This carto/tank also uses my batteries quicker which makes sense since dual coils draw more amperage and are probably pushing my 14650s to their limits; some of them just won't work in it at all.
But why the different flavor?? Taking all the variables into account I don't see why it would change the taste from mango to banana-mango.
