That is correct. Avid vapor, fasttech, and a few more I can't name off the top of my head have pre-made coils with wick. I can only attest to the quality of the avid vapor premades, but they are very consistent and can be had in a nr/r setup for 7 bucks per 5 pack.
I think it's already started, but I see cartos going the way of the dinosaurs soon enough. They are better than clearo taste-wise, but are less convenient and die much faster.
Another consideration is that they waste quite a bit of juice. Every time you replace one, a ml or so of juice is lost, which makes them even less economical in the long run.
I'd say save yourself the trouble of "progression" as that deal is kinda outdated with where the market has gone. Also, with people stopping selling them, it can be a pain to find the cartos you want many times.
Sent with Tapytaptap or some such...
I have an AGA-t2 and an RSST, and I can build a pretty good coil. When I want fussy, I use them. I can't see myself throwing one in my purse and taking it to work, as I really don't need leaky things, either.
When I was a newbie, I used t3s and Vivi Novas for quite awhile. Had leaking issues and hated them. And, at the time, they were all plastic. I like tank-cracking juice. But I don't have a desire to try any of the new glass options, because.....
I love carto tanks. Fill it in the morning and go. No leaks, no fuss. It suits my style of vaping. I used them on mechs and regulated devices. IBTanked, Phiniac, Loki Labs SS1, Valley View Vapes Pyrex, and Fluid Flask (new glass tube en route) all work well for me.
The cool thing about vaping is the choices we have. A little off-topic, but I visited a new vape shop today, and yes shiny things abounded. I got an iTaste 134. It came with an iClear. I don't want an iClear, but there is someone at work who wants to start vaping, so I am saving it for her.
So, I think there is no right or wrong answer here. Just try them all and see what works for you, and forget about what the next person likes.
