I been a member of this forum before but it been so long I could not remember my password and user name so I signed up again
Anyway I am beginning to feel I need to be an ex-smoker and the only way I can do it is with vaping!
Currenty I have 4 ecigs with carts and atomizers but it's not cutting I still and occasionally vape
I decided to go with 2-box mods it's called Lite 40 (watt) I am waiting for it to delivered with halo torque 56-18 mg
Hopefully that will work out I am a smoker for about 30 years and I need something I can inhale and feel a thoat hit because I really need to stop smoking cigarettes!!

Welcome back to ECF and vaping.

I first encountered vaping at least 6 or 7 years ago. Briefly quit entirely but then I went back to work...

I dual used on and off for several years before returning to just smoking, and the amount of innovation in that time seemed truly amazing to me. I was really glad I returned to vaping as I was facing the dreaded "COPD" diagnosis and my quality of life was, shall we say, poor.

I went into it much more opened minded and determined, and I am so glad this forum was here to help me along the way or I'm fairly certain I would not have succeeded.

I wish you all the best on your new journey and I hope you find setups that work for you. I wish I'd stayed stopped 7 years ago, but well, life is what it is. Just keep in mind that "every quit is different." I'm not going to say mine was easy (I was smoking about 3 ppd when I quit) but I certainly had a lot more determination to carry me through it. Welcome back and I hope you find success, and post when you're having trouble, too, it really helps.

Best of luck to you!

Anna

Welcome back.
From the sound of it---mentioning carts, etc, it has been a while. Who makes the new box mod you are using? And what sort of tank did you get?

:)

I was a 30+ year smoker who had tried to quit several times using the nicotine patch/gum/lozenges, prescription drugs, and hypnosis. Nothing worked.

I went with a cigalike starter kit when I began vaping, and although it did get me off of the smokes, I knew there was something out there that was better. I became a member here and got a "mod" and a cartotank, and this came much closer to a "cigarette experience".

Vaping worked for me while the above methods didn't by doing three things:

  1. Replaces the nicotine, the substance that we are physically addicted to, but without the act of combustion or using smoke, which are the main culprits of causing cancer.
  2. Replicates the "hand-to-mouth" behavior which is so ingrained in our habit.
  3. Replicates the psychological and physical need to "inhale & exhale" a visible substance.
