Hey Guys,

I have Samsung 16580 2500mAh battery and am using the USB charger in my ipv Mini 2. How long does it take for a dead battery to charge completely? This is my first use of the battery so I let it go dead, and want to charge it completely. Anyone know the approximate time?

Previously this caused the maximum battery charge cycles/life, but apparently with newer batteries it's not really necessary, but it doesn't hurt to do it anyways (can anyone verify/deny this?)

Thanks,

Ghostin

Depends on what you mean by "dead". In general, these batteries should never be drained past 2.5v, but your IPV should cut you off well before that. By all accounts, lithium based batteries do not actually benefit from running them dead on the first few charge cycles because they have no so-called memory and past a certain voltage (~2.5v) it can actually hurt them.

4 hrs maybe. Maybe more. For a complete re-charge.
