Sorry All for another negative post. Just trying to let people know the truth. We just returned home from a San Diego Padres game. We are Angels fans but wanted to check out the Padres Stadium. Did I try to vape in my seat? NO. Did I try to vape in the bathroom? NO. Did I try to vape near the food or merchandise venders? NO. I went to the back and tried to vape in an out of the way place. OUTSIDE!!!! Why? Because I was always a considerate smoker and because a lot of people aren't familiar with the concept and I'm not always in the mood to try and educate the stupid. I was busted twice by the Stadium staff. The first woman says to me, and I quote, "It's the same as smoking and the stadium forbids it". The second woman says to me, and I quote, "It's not fair to the smokers. They see your smoke and think they should be able to smoke". REALLY? Since when was anybody concerned with whats fair to smokers??? Not when I smoked! I did try to educate these women about the difference in smoke and vape, but I was met with polite BS and they weren't interested in facts. On the positive, I did hand an info card to a mad onlooker that turned out to be a nice person. She ended up being interested in learning and I steered her in the right direction for her friends and family that smoke. The stadium itself is AMAZING, but we won't be back. I have not been to the Angles stadium since I started vapeing but I NEVER had a problem when I smoked. Oh well, the Padres suck anyway! (No offense to Padres fans...I'm just mad!!!!)

I understand your anger. It ticks me off too when people treat me like a smoker and I am a considerate vaper also. I ask before I vape in any establishment and if they so no then I go outside but recently I was at a bar that said it was ok to vape but then as soon as somebody complained they banned vaping. So I don't go there anymore. Some people just don't want to know about vaping and insist that it's the same as smoking. Those people are ignorant and I don't even bother to try to educate them. They will learn soon enough as the ecigs get more popular and we fight for our right to vape.
Thanks for understanding tmcase! Gosh its frustrating when I'm holding something in my hand that I believe will help add years to smokers lives and they aren't even interested??? If you check it out, then you still don't like it, I will respect that. But to be closed minded and not even look into it????? But yet drinking and overeating are accepted ways of killing people. I get those things. LOL, just making a point.
When I switched to e-cigs, I thought I was forever leaving behind the rank of "outcast." What a shock to discover this wasn't at all the case. Arghhh... so frustrating! Until we manage to educate the public regarding what vaping really is all about, the only way I can see around the whole situation is to stealth vape. When I can't get away with that in public places, I head to a bathroom stall and stealth vape there. Yeah, the whole situation is plain infuriating.
