So I am now signed up for this (Savage Race - The Race Built To Kick Your ... | Savage Race) along with a few friends (but they run marathons ALOT) and my wife (she did her first one the other day for prostate cancer and actually finished with a good time). 1yr ago it wouldn't of been a thing to second guess, however, in July of last, I had full ACL replacement (went the graph route), MCL, and cleaned up some cartledge (sp). So this more less will be a battle between me and my knee. I am an athletic person by nature (not much since surgery though..I think more a mental issue for me). So last night was the first time I actually jogged since my surgery. It didnt feel to well, knee was hurting a bit...kinda like a limping run so to speak. Today I did a light arm WO and then hIt the treadmill: 3 miNutes fast walk, 5 minute nice pace jog, 5 minute speed walk inclined @ 5 degrees. I kicked ... in rehab and my theory was, alittle pain/tears now.....100% recovery. There was one guy in rehab about the same surgery as mine and a few days longer in rehab than me and I was FAR past hit degree of bending/squatting and such. 32 days until the big event. Gonna be hitting the treadmill / elliptical daily (lunch time and/or when I get home) here on out.
