I've got the report and it is alarming. Click here to get the latest on this new trend and also here for the article in the Washington Post.

Action is immediately needed to stop what is destined to become a lifelong problem. Since it is an addiction, the FDA should immediately declare them Medical devices and stop all importation and production until they are approved by the FDA.

Also I'm calling for every state to insure that our children are protected by banning use until they are at least 21 years old and making it illegal to sell to minors.

I fear that the kids will see adults using these medical devices and want to emulate their activity so use in the home in public areas should be strictly prohibited. The government should make it more difficult for adults to use them also, because the addiction is evident in adults as well. I know, my household has been invaded by this psychological drug itself and I'm not at all happy about it. I'm a social user, but I know my SO is clinically addicted and seriously needs professional help.

I'd love to see the FDA regulate YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. Oh wait, no I don't. They'd only screw it up.

tsk, tsk, it's always 'other people' who are addicted. We always see ourselves as social users. Better check yourself. Admitting it is half the battle my friend.

LOL!

A Mafia War, Farm Ville habit that already cost close to a thousand bucks this year is much worse than using the net to make my income, fight for E Cigs and Smokeless and post on ECF. At least in my mind. Okay, I'm a little addicted, kinda like a little pregnant.

Great post - point obviously lost on the FDA,ALA, AHA and our inept, self-serving legislators. How abt. this idea as well: the FDA should immediately re-classify cell phones as an "information-delivery device" and in so doing BAN all cell phone use until it has been proven unequivocally that the use of said device is 'absolutely' safe. If you google "dangers of cell phone radiation" and click on the various links you find there is a lot of 'scientific evidence' already gathered pointing to significant 'potential' harm to cell phone users and there have been numerous scientific links made to a variety of cancers associated with long term brain exposure to radiation through cell phone use. They have FAR more evidence against the "over-all safety" of cell phone use right now than they could ever hope to amass against electronic cigarettes and yet cell phones remain legal (and legal for 'our precious children') they even market cell phones to minors with their 'pretty colors, hip ringtones and youth-oriented packaging'. I am, of course being sarcastic - I don't believe they should ban cell phones, but the gross hypocrisy, selective demonization and Patently Obvious disingenuousness of the claims against electronic cigarettes and any claim that outright banning is in the 'interest of Public Health' is so offensive, so wrong and so corrupt, that it smacks of oppression and willful abuse of power.
