I've got that at Amazon on my wish list.
I wish there was a Hobby Lobby around here... Actually, I'm glad there isn't.

Nicotime- There's a Michaels where I live, I'll check them out this weekend. I'm also looking at the amazing casting resin.
We think alike Sci...I have been thinking of taking some play-doh in my hand and squish it to form the inside of my hand, let it harden and smooth it out...them make a mold of it with the putty. Then take the resin and mold that...drill it out for the batt, switch and bottle...and have a custom PV that fits perfectly.
Problem is every time I eyeball the kids play-doh I get yelled at.![]()
Now that, is a great idea! Got a question. Instead of having to drill all of that, could you make objects(bottle, battery, etc. out of resin) & then place them inside the main models resin while it was setting? You could reuse them over & over.
LOL about the kids playdoh.![]()

Yeah...thought about molding in place stuff like the connector, switch and other permanent items. That would be great but you would probably have to split the mold in half to have the internals and cavities molded on the inside of both halves...then resin the two halves together after everything is set in place...make any sense? Same as blow molding but without the machine to do it in one step.
Dammit Sci....now ya got me going on a tenth project in my head...me ittle-brittle cranium gonna explode.![]()
boom...How hard is it to get a mold 'out of' resin? I was thinking in terms of having the bottom of the hand grip open & making a slide on cover. Pressing the bottle & battery molds in the resin while it was setting. Or, just a tube of the correct size, maybe?
BTW, I've got a touch switch circuit that I am going to try, real simple. If it works, I'll let you know. That site you posted in the other thread is a real good one, but I think I found this one somewhere else. All it needs is a transistor & 2 resistors.
That would be a lot of volume to displace Sci, plus you would still need to oversize it a little. With two halves you could even mount some of the things after it sets up a bit. Dunno...have to see what the resin is like I guess.
Yeah...I'm gonna give the switch a try also.
Something just seems too simple about these switches that not many ppl have used them...are we missing something??
Oh...got my stuff in so I can get to work now.
dont get that one from amazon. its the purple kind and only gives you 90 seconds to play with. and you've seen what a .... job one does when has to hurry...

Hey Sci...did you ever get the resin and work with it? I got the clear Castin'Craft stuff today at Michaels to do some experimenting.
Guess it would make more sense to PM you huh...DUH!!

Don't you want the mold to be pliable? That way you can 'peel' it off of the molded item & it returns to shape for the next one?
