Saw my 1st vaper in the wild!

I was walking out of wal mart last night and saw a guy standing at the red box with a hybrid in his hand. I asked if I could see it and we struck up a conversation about vaping. My poor husband who strongly supports my vaping journey waited while we talked. It was the coolest thing ever! I live in a small town so I was so surprised.

I usually just run up to other vapors and cross mods and run away... If anyone has had this happen to them it was me

I have seen a couple driving while on my commute. I usually give a nod and a cheers, tipping my mod at them. Haven't seen anyone on the street yet.

The mod tip seems to be the secret hand shake, but I like the mod cross concept. Perhaps I'll attempt that when I get a more cross worthy device.

I was in Dallas/Fort Worth over the weekend and spotted several. There were some 20 somethings working at a bar that were hitting mechs and then spotted a few more stuck in traffic.

I haven't met up with any other vaper's, I'm just too rural. Nah, surely not. There's gotta be more of us in this area, I've heard of them....

The only vapers I see in the wild for the most part are my creations - so thats pretty happy, but it would be nice to see someone I dont already know that I gave a device too darnit! I will say I see endless cig-a-likes roaming the creep streets of Salem.

Thinking about this. I have seen one other person with a MOD in public, other than in vape shops where I see many. With the vaping numbers growing as they currently are, when do you think it will become more noticeable to the non vaping public at large?

but not only have I not seen one besides my wife
Ive yet to meet someone who even knows much about vaping without it being misinformation

But I guess NY is almost as bad as Cali in regard to indictrination

I work in Chicago and live in the suburbs. Only seen a few in the wild. One guy who works in my building, used to see him when I went out to smoke before I started vaping. Another one I see from time to time walking back to the train. Other than people I know around my hometown I've only seen one other. It's always a little exciting to see someone else vaping though. Wish it would happen more often, especially in the city.

We see quite a few vapers in the wild here. Hubby and I were at a 'art in the park' deal a month or so ago with our bigger setups (my MVP and his SVD), and a guy with an ego-style kept checking us out. In hindsight, we should have stopped to chat with him.

Thought by many to be endangered, this shy and elusive creature has made considerable population gains in the last few years.
Trained and determined vaper spotters have little trouble finding fine examples but warn to approach with care.
This somewhat unpredictable species has been known to stampede in response to the presence of smokers, puff counters, customs agents and surly bartenders.
Conditions known to attract vapers include, high quality lithium batteries, excessively high priced stainless steel tubes and 5volt USB charging ports.

I should see more than I do. Every time I go out a friend of a friend will mention "Damn, everyones using those ". They ask questions at which point I go into my little spat and tell them where to go ect ect.

I would be embarrassed if I spotted a nice mod in the wild and all I had was a itty bitty ego.
